On March 6th, 2024, my Wife received an email from email address: \"
[email protected]\" stating that it is a collection agency named Medical Data Systems phone number 866-631-4680 and stating that My Wife owes a DEBT of $25.59 from Baptist Health Jacksonville.
She does not.
I did not recognize the dollar amount. So i called the phone number at 4:36pm on March 15th, 2024 and talked with a woman.
I explained that i am confused, and do not recognize the dollar amount of the Debt, nor do i remember receiving a bill for such a Debt.
The woman asked me for the \"EID NUMBER\" from the email, which was 539TVC81VP.
The woman looked it up, and told me it was a Debt from December 2022 AND THAT THE COLLECTION AGENCY SENT ME A PAPER COLLECTION LETTER ABOUT IT IN JULY OF 2023.
Given that my Wife and i filed Bankrupt in the fall of 2022, i realized that this must have been one of the old Debts that were discharged in Bankrupcy.
After looking at my Bankruptcy Case File #3:22-bk-02039 JAF (middle district florida), i found that this $25.59 Debt was covered in our 2022 Chap 7 Bankrupcy that was discharged on 1/10/2023.
This Debt was the number one Debt listed on page \"EXHIBIT A\" of a Court Document entitled \"NOTICE OF FILING AMENDMENT TO SCHEDULE E/F\" which was signed by us on 3/14/2023, and was filed with the Court on 3/20/2023 to be added to the Bankruptcy Case.
I told the woman the bill was covered by the 2022 Chap 7 Bankruptcy filing , and gave her the Case # only. She said she would send the file over to \"Legal Department to Verify.\"

My question to you.
Given that the BK Chap 7 was legally discharged on 1/10/2023, and the debts, including this one, were UPDATED BY AMENDMENT with the Court legally on 3/20/2023, AND THAT THE WOMAN SAYS THEY SENT ME A COLLECTION LETTER 4 MONTHS LATER IN JULY OF 2023, DO WE HAVE A CASE AGAINST THEM FOR BREAKING THE AUTOMATIC STAY, AND BILLING US FOR SOMETHING WE DO NOT OWE ?
I do not recall ever receiving the July 2023 Collection Letter the woman claims they sent.

Piedmont has been going back in forth with the bills I owe. Forced me to set up payment agreement to avoid adding my 70% non insured fee back to my bill $9k vs $65k and sending me to collections. Set up $1100 at MONTH payments started which were cancelled, by them in June & I was sent to collections. My balance on line shows $0 but I\'m being told by messages through the portal online I still owe $9k. I don\'t speak to anyone over the phone because they lie to you.

This number keeps calling me. I believe it is about a medical bill that was paid by my Blue Cross. They also placed it on my credit report.
a woman called me from this number and when i called back to get more information she was beyond rude, threatened me that if i did not pay they would immediately put my debt in collections and it would never come off of my credit and when i challenged this she became even ruder to me and refused to even work with me on anything. she asked for very personal information from me and when i told her i didn’t have to tell her any of that information she threatened me again that i needed to pay immediately or more people would be calling for the collection. it was extremely rude, uncalled for and beyond what a debt collector should be doing

Hi Michael. Some debt collectors are absolutely rude and they will often say whatever they want to try to make you feel worse. It isn't out of the ordinary, unfortunately. I've been receiving calls and collection letters from MRS when I haven't missed a single payment at all. I told the hospital billing department that all I could afford is $25 a month and they've been accepting every payment I've sent them and haven't contacted me regarding any problems
I received a call from this company this morning. The rep I talked to was down right rude unprofessional and by the end of the call I felt like a deadbeat because I didn't know of the account nor do I have any way of paying it with the covid 19 pandemic I own a small business she could have done the math. She asked me how I was able to pay my other bills and how much I pay for them. I told her that I'm not able to and she asked me once again how I'm able to support myself. After I told her that my family. She proceeded to tell me I should ask them for a loan. I told her that I couldn't do that her attitude changed from ignorant to down right unprofessional and rude. She said with a degrading attitude we did not have covid 19 12 months ago. I told her I didn't know anything about the bill 12 months ago and she so kindly told me collections will continue and hung up on me. This company should be shut down. People are dealing with enough right now. Not to have a deal with these rude employees of MRS

All of a sudden I am getting repeated calls from different numbers claiming to be "Medical Revenue Services. Never in my life have I heard of them and told them to stop calling me, but they continue to do so. The 2 numbers they keep calling from are: 877-521-6773 and 866-631-4680. I don't owe these people anything.
I get calls from Medical Revenue Service all the time. I debt they reference I do owe, so I went ahead and started a payment plan with them. Unfortunately, my debit card was stolen and I had to get a new card, so the company was no longer able to withdraw money from my account. That's when the phone call became rude and combative. The rep I get literally argues EVERYTIME.
I'm disabled and on a fixed income. These guys are calling my former employment office and harassing my co workers with calls. This is very embarrassing to me and my family!

I am getting calls from this number. It is in reference to Blue wave emergency physician. I NEVER saw one of their physicians. I have told them to stop calling. I have emailed them and I have faxed them to stop. they continue. I did not see a physician and I am being billed and harassed.
They called me today and wanted me to verify my personal information. They would not tell me what the call was concerning first. I hung up after the agent was extremely rude.
