I got a loan through Navient to complete a dog training program that turned out to be not what they claimed and I dropped out of their program. Though I continued to pay Sallie Mae on the loan that at one time was around $2500, I lost work for a while and fell behind, but since have resumed payments. Suddenly, however the loan amount has doubled, no payments are shown to having been made or itemized to me…and they now say I will continue to owe them until 2023, by which time, whether I want to be or not, I will be dead…
