On August 28, 2013, a Chicago Fire Department truck crashed into another vehicle, at the intersection of Austin Boulevard and Bloomingdale Avenue. The firetruck t-boned a car, and a woman was pinned insid. A mini-van was also hit in the incident, which happened at eleven in the morning. Three people were taken to Loyola and West Suburban hospitals with minor injuries—the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
