I had contacted Navient to try and adjust student loan payments because the amount of student loans is a large burden, I spoke with one of there reps on th week of nov 12th. We went through the steps to set up interest onlt payments for 24 months. I was informed that this will be for a period of 24 months. Their system even stated the next payment would be on Dec 16th for aprox $188. A week later I started to get harrassing calls saying I was delinquent and that there was no arrangement approved for the intrest only payments. I had to start the entire process over again due to their inability to provide accurate information and they never even bothered to inform me that the original requst was not approved when I was lead to believe it had been approved and the loan program was all setup. This kind of service in inexcusable, these student loan companies seem to think they can do what ever they want witout any cobsiquences. They should be happy I am paying the loans. After all when I signed the student loan paper work I never agreed to the enormious interest rates they setup.
