FDA Warns Against Caffeine Overdose

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning against powdered pure caffeine products that are on the market. These products when taken can equal drinking around 25 cups of coffee at once. Due to the high amounts of caffeine in these products, it can lead to a caffeine overdose.

Those who suffer with caffeine overdose often have erratic heartbeats, seizures, and ultimately death if not treated. The FDA is warning that teens are more susceptible to using these products due to not really knowing what these products have the potential of doing to them.

The FDA has stated that there has been at least one death that they are aware of that was caused by using these products.
