One type of injury that can come from certain accidents is broken bones. One type of bone fracture injury is a spiral fracture. If you or a loved one has sustained a spiral fracture from an accident, contact Mike Agruss Law for a free consultation so we can help you recover from this experience and get fairly compensated.

A spiral fracture occurs when a high-impact, twisting or rotational force break the bone into two pieces. The break occurs diagonally across the bone and is fairly painful. There are two types: stable or displaced. In a displaced fracture, the parts of the bone do not align. In a stable fracture, the parts of the bone are much more aligned. Symptoms of a spiral fracture include stiffness, limited movement, swelling, and tenderness. After tests and an examination, your doctor will apply a cast for stable fractures. For displaced fractures, where there are more jagged bone parts, surgery is likely required to clean out the wound, align the bones, and then apply a cast to hold the bones in place.
