I have been getting repeated phone calls from Alliance Asset Management (866-864-8030) about collecting a debt. I have told them that I am currently disabled and on SSDI I am a widowed mother to an Epileptic 6 year old. I have asked them not to call and to put it in writing but they persisted to call and I've had to change my phone number 3 times. Is it legal for them to be calling 10 times a day? How can I get this to stop? Is there a way to settle the debt with original business instead of dealing with AAM? It is an overdue payday advance they are trying to collect on. I do want to settle debt but can only afford minimum payments at this time and I would prefer to deal with Lendup (the loan agency) rather than a third party collector.

I've been recieving calls from two different "debt collectors" both are trying to collect on the same debt (one is aliance and the other keeps changing their name) theyre threatening me with court and jail time, but I have called the company they claim to be representing and they say they have no records of this. I found this site on a search. what do you reccomend I do? Its not convenient to call as its the middle of the night and other people are asleep. the collectors called earlier and Im a little paranoid so i can't sleep. Im getting too many calls and ive been out of work for two months with a dislocated knee...I dont know if i can afford a lawyer. I was just looking for advice onhow to make them stop calling or find out whether any of their threats were valid when the company they claim to be calling for says the debt doesnt exist. Im not sure whats relevant..Ive never had to deal with this before. and I don't have much money at the moment which is why Im looking for just advice only medically cleared for 4-5 hours three days a week so im making maybe $120 every two!
