I have been a valued customer with Applied Bank with receiving a Visa from them in August 2020 up until now January 2022. However during the pandemic unforseen circumstances occured and the company I worked for shut down & dissolved which left me unemployed in October of 2021 and in a financial bind. I had some savings I was living off of to get by on for a little while and was still making payments on my credit card accounts. When I initially applied for the Applied Bank Visa in August 2020 I opted in for credit protection to protect me in predictaments as such explained above. Which I have on all of my credit cards. However, once I called Applied Bank on Dec 8, 2021 when I wanted to have the credit protection initiated to help make the minimum pymts to my acct, to (800-947-1090)cust svc- I was told by the representative that my protection was cancelled May 2021. I explained to the rep that could not be possible because I never cancelled it(nor) had I received any documents, letters, etc stating this. I also explained to the rep that upon going online on their website in which I utilized to make my pymts & clicking on the credit protection status, it states that I am already enrolled therefore I didn't know where they were getting that information from because it should state the same thing on their database. The representative brushed me off and gave me another number to call. She stated that I would have to contact the credit protection dept called Credit Life 2 program and that they should be able to help me. Upon contacting that dept they stated that they did not have any information for me other than my credit protection was cancelled by Applied Bank in May 2021. Also, in my monthly statements I am being charged for credit protection each month, however they keep stating that I've been cancelled and they don't want to honor the protection of my credit. Now, when I called back to Applied Bank to explain to them what the rep from Credit Life 2 dept just told me they claimed that they didn't know anything about that and that they were going to put in a ticket for escalation and have someone investigate and reach back out to me in 3 to 5 business days. I gave them my phone number, and they have my email address. I never received a follow up call from anyone (nor) any emails from them pertaining to this so I called back on Dec 13, 2021 explaining to them that I hadn't heard from anyone pertaining to this matter and asked them what was the status of the investigation. They did not have an answer for me, but kept repeating the same thing from the first time I called on Dec 8 and giving me the phone run around xfrg to different departments and getting no where but frustrated. No one could give me any answers, so they claimed that they were going to put in another ticket for escalation and that I should hear from someone in 48-72 hours and if I didn't hear back to reach back out to them. I contacted the company back on Dec 17, 2021 and the rep proceeded to tell me to hold and next thing I heard the phone ringing and she had xfrd me to another dept which was the credit protection program and they stated that they emailed Applied Bank to try to get to the bottom of the matter and they hadn't heard back from them & that she was sorry that I had to go through this, but unfortunately she didn't have any information for me and that they would have to explain because they are the ones that initially cancelled my protection. There was no reason that my credit protection should have been cancelled as I was making more than the minimum monthly payments every month, some times I even made 3 to 4 payments in the same month because I have been building my credit up as I am looking into purchasing a home in the near future so I had been clearing derogatory things off of my credit reports. I have statements that show my payments. I have always been a good paying customer for goods and services granted to me(However they are not valuing or honoring the credit protection) The statements also show where the fees for the monthly credit protection was deducted (EVERY MONTH) However, they are only giving me limited access to my online acct so I was only able to get statements from 3/25/21 -12/21. I AM STILL UNEMPLOYED and now they are harassing me with debt collection calls for money whIch I do not have and now on my credit report they are reporting as if I just don't want to pay them and that clearly is not the case. Also last but not least on Dec 28, 2021 I typed and mailed two letters to Applied bank along w/ verification of my unemployment status and I still never heard anything back from them. The practices of this company Applied Bank is unfair, unethical and deceptive. Please investigate into this matter and I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank You, Frustrated Consumer

applied bank credit card, they are saying i owe more then i believe i do owe. i have requested proof and they wont give information. they state I\'m not in there system but yet they are destroying my credit
