Shane Greear Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Effingham, IL

Police in Effingham, IL, have identified 26-year-old Shane Greear of Edgewood as the driver who was injured in a two-vehicle crash last Wednesday morning. 

According to Effingham police, the crash occurred at approximately 10:44 a.m. May 27 at the intersection of Fayette and Banker. A vehicle driven by Chase Kuhlman, 20, of Salem reportedly crashed into a vehicle driven by Greear. The circumstances that led to the crash are unclear. 

Greear suffered unspecified injuries and was transported to St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham. His current condition is unknown. 

No charges or citations have been issued against Kuhlman at this time. The Effingham Police Department is investigating the incident and will attempt to determine what caused Kuhlman to crash into Greear's vehicle.
