A person called me yesterday an was rude an is harassing me to pay a bill I thought my insurance covered so I will call hospital to make arragments

Hi Darlene, I've helped countless consumers being harassed over medical bills. It's unfortunate your insurance company did not pay the hospital bill. Regardless, no one should harass you over the debt. Whether you owe the debt or not, you have rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA"). I am being sued by this company and the debt is from 2011. They added two other bills that occured in October of 2014 and are only $60. I don't think what they are doing is legal and need your help. thanks for your time, Elizabeth

Hello, Audit and adjustment company came after us in 2014 on November 17th three days before our wedding day. They had sent the paperwork 11-17 on that next day at my husband's work. The paperwork stated they were going to start garnishing 20% of his wages. My husbands check 11-18-14 had already had money taken out by them. ($206) this was the only notice we had. I called them and found out it was for a ER visit my husband had in 2004. They are beyond their statute of limitations. They claim my husband was garnished before but he told me he had never once been garnished for any bill before. They were quite rude and since the bill was in 2004 they stacked plenty of fees bringing it up to about $3,100 or so. We felt absolutely helpless and still do because we cannot afford a lawyer and we do not qualify for help from the skagit pro bono lawyers ran by community action. After taxes and medical taken out and the garnishment during winter when business slowed down we were always short on our bills and they piled on us. We had survive off of a couple bags of potatoes and ramen noodles. We couldn't feed ourselves and we ended up hundreds of dollars behind in our bills. We don't recall recieving a summons even though we had been living in our current residence for 2 years at the time. I have kept all evidence including pay stubs, they have already taken $2000. We need help and feel we have been taken advantage of because we are struggling. We have never had an issue paying on things that we know we owe on but this is absolutely wrong and has caused us a lot of pain. -Lara and Jason

I am a cancer survivor and I have medical debt from my treatment. Audit and Adjustment Company has garnished my wages twice and I was NEVER served with court paperwork. I called them when I received the garnishment and the address that they had "on-file" was from at least 7 years ago in a home that I rented for 4 months. There were numerous address changes on my credit and with the P.O. since then. They called recently regarding a debt and I tried to make an arrangement with them. $400 a month. I am a single mom and can not afford more than that, especially after having 25% of my income garnished recently. They said that with their "hardship" program I could pay $800 a month. They are extremely rude and unprofessional When I asked how they garnished me before without a court date she responded that they "can not give legal advice". I have been making payments but I am terrified that I will be garnished illegally again.

Im receiving a order of judgment by audit & adjustment company inc. I was not aware of this debt and they are saying I have to pay $ 759.53 with recurring fee I was not aware of since I don’t live at the address they are sending these letter too.
