This account was put into deferment from June of 2011 until June of 2012. In July payments were supposed to restart but when contacting Navient in June, July, and August I was informed that they could not tell me what my payment would actually be. When I contacted Sallie Mae in June I requested they send me the standard payment books and in July, and August I requested them again since I still had not received them. On August 24th 2012 I called again and the gentleman that I spoke with stated they had me setup for email billing, I AGAIN informed them I wanted to receive payment books by mail, I live in a rural area and internet access is not reliable enough so we do not do a lot of billing online. I then finally on the 24th of August was switched to paper billing and received payment book, which while on the phone I asked about July, August, and September, where I was told that the deferment was extended to the end of September and my account was brought back current with no payments required for those 3 months. I began making my regular payment in October and November and my next payment is due on Dec 1st. They corrected my billing but still show I am 90 days past due on my credit report for July, August, and September of 2012. This is the second time with Sallie Mae I have had credit reporting issues. I am also filing a complaint with the credit bureaus and directly to Sallie Mae. If I never had to pay for July August or September, and I have not been charged for late fee’s and my balance shows current why will they not correct my credit report. This was Sallie Mae’s error and they only corrected half the problem
