I recently had my student loans transferred to Sallie Mae from AES Student Loan Services without my consent. While I had no billing issues with AES for the six years they had my loans, since my loans were transferred to Sallie Mae on 10.5.12, they have already made numerous billing errors which they refuse to correct despite my telephone calls to their company. I have made two loan payments electronically – both overpayments and made in a timely fashion – yet Sallie Mae (while taking my payments electronically from my bank account) continues to show my loan payments as late, and is now showing late payments of double my loan payments on their system. This company is both badly managed and unethical and should be shut down immediately. Customer Support is not educated about their own loans and how payments are applied, you are constantly being bounced from person to person (each of whom will give a different answer about why your payments are not being correctly and timely applied) and they continue to show loans as unpaid while still taking payments from your bank account. This company is horrible in every way, and a consumer’s nightmare.
