4+ years ago I thought this bill was paid off and I called via phone Sallie mae, I paid a total of 6100.00 at the end of 2008 , I thought was the pay off figure, I have not heard from Sallie Mae in over 4 years. not anything, until end of last year, now they say I have a 647.65 balance plus interest 263.78 totalling 911.43. I should have recieved an annual statement at the least and interest info for the past 4 years. I have recieved NOTHING in over 4 years I thought this school loan for my son was paid off, when I called the first person said I got the pay off online , this is untrue, I have never went online for SallieMae, then the supervisor tells me I recieved no annual statement because the interest was not eligible for tax cedit, then he tells me I did recieve a statement, there are too many inconsistensies here and feel they made a mkistake 4+ years ago and now are billing me and It is not fair to me the billpayer the original loan was for 6500.00 and I paid off at once 6100.00 plus I dont remember how many monthly payments I made before I did the payoff amount, are they going to send me another bill in 4 more years??? with another amount. I have no reason to not tell the truth here I thing it shows I was tryong to pay this off nad called Sallie Mae I remeber this clearly, so why 4 + years l;ater, I understand the loan would be up soon but why wait 4 years to bill someone this bill was in my sons name Gary WheatonI co signed and made the payments and will pay whatever the outcome will be but this is wrong no communication for 4 years
