A traffic accident on August 17, 2013, took the life of two teenagers in west-central Illinois. The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. near Triopia Junior-Senior High School in Concord; Peyton O’Neil, 17, was driving when he went off Concord-Arenzville Road, came back on the road and hit two other vehicles. Peyton died at the scene; his sister, Zoe, 15, died later that evening at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. One of the drivers struck, Cody A. Nergenah, 24, refused medical treatment; the other driver was taken to Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, treated, and released.
