I never thought getting a student loan was the worst decision I ever made. It’s been almost two years that I’ve been paying my loan with Sallie Mae. Yet, I am still half way to my original debt. It’s as if they’re making changes to my account without my knowledge and consent. The customer service is atrocious and they couldn’t even speak straight English. It looks like they’re making more money from missed or late payments by way of penalty fees on top of the interest rates. They wouldn’t even entertain your calls. Letters are also ignored. No consideration, no explanation and no notification at all. Potential students should be vigilant always to getting yourselves into a contract with loan companies like Sallie Mae. They run unfair and deceptive practices. Don’t be fooled by their false promises.
