Exceptional Experience

Mike Bertucci handled my case professionally and successfully. Lakisha Joshua took time to understand my case with the utmost patience. Both Mike and Lakisha, in my opinion, are true assets to America’s Consumer Lawyer.

Hi Rebecca. The person you spoke to would have been a representative for Barclay, not my law firm. We only represent consumers like you who are dealing with debt collection issues and we only contact you if you contact us. If you would like to speak with me about your account with Barclay's and what options you may have in dealing with this situation, give me a call. I have helped many consumers just like you and I would be happy to speak with you at your convenience. You can reach my office at 312 300 5996. Thanks, Mike

Hi! I am trying to apply for a home loan and my closed account with Barclay's is really hurting my credit score. The credit bureaus told me to contact Barclay's. Barclay's told me I still owed over $3,000 on their end. Even though, I paid it off with a negotiated payment with you, all. Barclay's told me to call you to have it removed from my report. I was a full-time graduate student in NYC when this kept accruing. I had zero income. As soon as I got my first job, post-graduation, I paid off this account. I have been working really hard to improve my credit score. And this is just sitting there hurting my chances of being able to move forward. When I made the last payment with you, the gentleman I was working with said this could be removed quickly. That has now been two+ (?) years. Can someone please assist? Please give me a call if you can. Thank you!

I have been trying to resolve a debt that originated with Barclay and was passed on to Portfolio Recovery Associates for over a year. PRA refuses to communicate with me in writing regarding settlement matters, and in November and December they engaged in contacting a third party who is unrelated to my debt as part of their collection efforts. I have lodged complaints with the CFPB, and PRA denies that they contacted anyone else in the face of documentary evidence clearly proving otherwise. Despite that, they ceased the calls to the third party after I emailed them directly and advised them of what appears to be a clear violation of the FDCPA. I just want to resolve this debt and would like some help. Please do not try to contact my by phone. I am working out of the country and unable to take calls.
