Myself and my family are receiving daily harassing phone calls from GM financial over debt owed by my exhusband. We are not on his loan and do not owe any money. We have told them multiple times to stop calling and that it is considered harassment and we have nothing to do with him, but they continue to call daily. How can we stop this?

GMFinancial did not follow through with a commitment to me if I agreed to go paperless they would automatically send a text and email 1 week prior to due date, 1 day before due date, many times within the month if not paid. The month of 10/2018 they did not fulfill their promised to me obligations. Our credit report dropped by 60 points in 1 day because of this. The customer service representatives and supervisors were useless and not very nice. This cost out family many thousands of dollars in the last 2 years. Not to mention that it is still standing in red on both of our credit reports because

Got into an accident and GM repesentative called me on July 8, 2022 told me to have my car voluntarily repo because it was collecting fees at tow yard in the same conversation the rep told me that I had GAP insurance and she provided me the number to GAP. I called GAP insurance they didnt get back to me until July 11th or 12th 2022. GAP sent me packet for claim told me I had 90 days to get all information to them. GAP needed appraisal for car which GM picked the car up so I called GM to get appraisal for car they state they couldn\'t provide an appraisal I have to pay $2000 to get the car back in order to get it appraised. GAP insurance closed my claim because GM couldn\'t provide necessary documents to GAP to approve claim. I kept asking for documents other than appraisal but GM wouldn\'t give me documents. Now I have debt of $7900 for GM and they have injured my credit score with charge off and continue to harrass me. I do feel that GM had a fiduciary duty because the representative should have known that for a GAP insurance claim there must be an appraisal of the vehicle which is what GM representative told me when she said that I would have to pay $2000 to get the car back. I believe that GM took advantage of my lack of knowledge of how GAP insurance worked.

I get 20 calls a day from gm. I pay my payment every month to avoid charge off but still continue to get numerous calls daily and full voicemailbox from them constantly calling. They have screwed up so many times with my account. Even repoed my vehicle on their accidental records. They claimed I was behind 3 payments but I was able to prove with bank statements that it was their error. I still had to pay for the repo. They are crooks and harrass the crap out of you even though your making a minimum payment every month to them.

Hello, I currently have GM financial, as my auto loan lender. Unfortunately I have not been able to get caught up on my loan but in meantime I feel like I\'ve been harassed. I get about 3 -4 phone calls a day along with 3 voice mails and email as well. According to FDCPA they have made more the 7 contacts a week. I kept all voicemails and emails.. is there anyway you office can do anything about this matter?

I leased two vehicles from gm financial. Even though the payments are always on time, I am continuously receiving calls during the day and late evening (past 9 p.m. cst), requesting me to call them but not stating why. My wife and I have been victims of a breach which has attacked our financial and credit institutions, therefore we do not talk to anyone by phone who requests personal information. GM Financial also has not sent any documents or requests by mail. I did start keeping messages left, but with my recent health problems, these intrusive, constant calls are not helping my condition. What should I do?

GM Financial continue to call daily now for several claiming lease non payment. All my payments have been on time or early as I can prove by bank statements. They claim it\'s the banks problem even though two lease payments are withdrawn at the same time every month but insist that only one is received.

Here\'s what I know:
1) I agreed to lend my credit to my cousin Benjamin Mawson for the purposes of purchasing a vehicle and that he would be making the payments
2) Benjamin Mawson is in possession of, has ALWAYS had possession of, the vehicle in question (the vehicle is in Oklahoma City OK)
3) GM Financial has been unable to establish contact with Benjamin Mawson at any point since the vehicle was Purchased in February 2025
4) I have not been able to establish contact with Benjamin Mawson since July 2025
5) I have made ALL payments on the vehicle until the last one in September 2025
6) I stated to GM Financial in October 2025 that I would not be making another payment because I am not buying Benjamin Mawson a vehicle and that GM needed to repossess the vehicle.
7) When the vehicle went 78 days passed due (the first time) I responded via email to an email from Ryan Robertson (Assistant Vice President Customer Servicing Unit 38) I can provide a copy of said email
8) When GM Financial stated that they needed a \"Perfected Lien\", I did what I could to assist GM in getting the lien perfected up to and including requesting documentation from GM Financial itself
9) I assisted in helping GM obtain the title for the vehicle From Oklahoma, which they did not have until late December 2025
10) When the vehicle loan was 100+ days past due I signed a deferment to prevent the loan from charging off
11) When said deferment was signed I specifically told GM Financial that it did NOT give GM permission to cease, put off, or postpone ANY efforts to repossess the vehicle from Benjamin Mawson.
12) I have received and continue to receive calls from GM Financial on an almost DAILY basis for the purposes of debt collection
13) I responded to an email from GM financial on February 19th (Darla Proctor) that I can provide a copy of
14) I received a letter from GM Financial on the 24th of February saying the loan had defaulted (charged off?) and the full amount was due
15) During this entire time, GM Financial has not seen fit to repossess the vehicle, continued to harass me with phone calls for collection, has continued to ignore anything I have had to say, and has continued to purposefully destroy the credit of a disabled veteran.

My old business had a loan with GM financial, when we got the loan they said they couldn\'t prove my business due to spelling being incorrect but the EIN WAS correct. They charged me over 10% interest and never informed me that they dont do any refinancing on loans. After a year of having the pickup no bank would refinance it due to the price owed and the actual value being so different. They now call me 10x a week, have contacted my wife\'s grandmother which not sure how they got her number, have called my personal phone and the business phone. This week alone ive received 10 calls and 5 emails from them.
