Conn’s Appliances Lawsuits
If you want to know just how unhappy consumers are with Conn’s Appliances, take a look at the number of complaints consumers have made online. Nowadays, most original creditors, credit card companies, etc. have arbitration clauses, which means that if you have a complaint against that company, you must file your claim in arbitration. Arbitration limits discovery, is not public, has a limited appellate process, and, most importantly, is funded primarily by banks and big businesses. While it can be difficult to get a fair chance in arbitration, the good news is we have filed hundreds of credit harassment cases in arbitration, and we know how to aggressively fight these cases against the big banks and businesses even when arbitration is necessary.
Conn’s Appliances Complaints
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) protects you from robocalls, which are those annoying, automated, recorded calls that computers make all day long. You can tell it’s a robocall because either no one responds on the other end of the line, or there is a delay when you pick up the phone before a live person responds. You can receive $500 per call if Conn’s Appliances violates the TCPA. Have you received a message from this agency that sounds pre-recorded or cut-off at the beginning or end? These are tell-tale signs that the message is pre-recorded, and if you have these messages on your cell phone, you may have a TCPA case against the agency.
The Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) protects electronic payments that are deducted from bank accounts. If Conn’s Appliances took unauthorized deductions from your bank account, you may have an EFTA claim against the agency. Conn’s Appliances, like most collection agencies, wants to set up recurring payments from consumers; imagine how much money it can earn if hundreds, even thousands, of consumers electronically pay them $50 – $100 or more per month. If you agreed to this type of reoccurring payment, the agency must follow certain steps to comply with the EFTA. Did Conn’s Appliances continue to take electronic payments after you told them to stop? Did they take more money from your checking account than you agreed to? If so, we can discuss your rights and potential case under the EFTA.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) works to ensure that no information reported to your credit report is false. In essence, it gives you the right to dispute those inaccuracies that you find on your credit report. We’ve handled many cases in which a debt collection agency reported debt on a consumer’s credit report to obtain leverage over the consumer. If Conn’s Appliances is on your credit report, they may tell you that they’ll remove the debt from your credit report if you pay it; this is commonly known as “pay for delete.” If the original creditor is on your report rather than the debt collector, and you pay off the debt, both entities should accurately report this on your credit report.
Several states also have laws to provide their citizens an additional layer of protection. For example, if you live in California, Florida, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Wisconsin, you may be able to add a state-law claim to your federal law claim above. North Carolina, for example, has one of the most consumer-friendly statutes in the country: if you live in NC and are harassed over a debt, you may receive $500 – $4,000 in damages per violation. We work with a local counsel in NC and our NC clients have received some great results in debt collection harassment cases. If you live in North Carolina and are being harassed by a debt collector, you have the leverage to obtain a great settlement.
How do we Use the Law to Help You?
We will use state and federal laws to immediately stop Conn’s Appliances’ debt collection. We will send a cease-and-desist letter to stop the harassment today, and if Conn’s Appliances violates the FDCPA, EFTA, FCRA, or any state law, you may be entitled to money damages. For example, under the FDCPA, you may receive up to $1,000 in damages plus actual damages. The FDCPA also has a fee-shift provision, which means the debt collector will pay your attorneys’ fees and costs. If you have a TCPA case against the agency, we will handle it based on a contingency fee and you won’t pay us a dime unless you win.
THAT’S NOT ALL…
We have helped thousands of consumers stop phone calls. We know how to stop the harassment and get you money damages. Once again: you will not pay us a dime for our services. We will help you based on a fee-shift provision and/or contingency fee, and the debt collector will pay your attorneys’ fees and costs.
What if Conn’s Appliances is on My Credit Report?
Based on our experience, some debt collectors may credit-report, which means one may mark your credit report with the debt they are trying to collect. In addition to or instead of the debt collector, the original creditor may also be on your credit report in a separate entry, and it’s important to properly identify these entities because you will want both to update your credit report if or when you pay off the debt.
THE GOOD NEWS IS…
If Conn’s Appliances is on your credit report, we can help you dispute it. Mistakes on your credit report can be very costly: along with causing you to pay higher interest rates, you may be denied credit, insurance, a rental home, a loan, or even a job because of these mistakes. Some mistakes may include someone else’s information on your credit report, inaccurate public records, stale collection accounts, or even being a victim of identity theft. If you have a mistake on your credit report, there is a process to dispute it, and my office will help you obtain your credit report and dispute any inaccurate information.
REMEMBER…
If a credit reporting agency violates its obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you may be entitled to statutory damages up to $1,000, and the credit reporting agency will be required to fix the error. The FCRA also has a fee-shift provision, which means the credit reporting agency will pay your attorneys’ fees and costs. You won’t owe us a dime for our services. We have helped hundreds of consumers fix inaccurate information on their credit reports, and we’re ready to help you, too.
Complaints against Conn’s Appliances
If you’re on this page, chances are you are just like the hundreds of consumers out there being harassed by Conn’s Appliances. Here are some of the BBB reviews and complaints against Conn’s Appliances:
- “I have never dealt with this store or company as a whole yet they keep calling me and texting me to pay my bills stating another customer’s name. I tried to call to tell them that they are calling the wrong person but it doesn’t work. They are harassing me without any reason and invading my privacy!”
- “This company showed up on my credit report, I called to make sure there was no open credit in my name since I did not apply and have recently been a victim of identity theft. The first day the representative told me she couldn’t find me in the system but kept trying to look me up by phone number, even when I told her they were not using the correct number on applications. She transferred me to the fraud department which is only an answering machine. The second time I called they refused to talk to me and insisted they only talk to credit bureaus and said their fraud department would not call me back since I was not a credit bureau.”
- “I received a recorded phone message at midnight last night from them about a late payment. The payment was due on the 25th and the call was placed on 28th. I believe the cut off time for billing calls is 9pm. They called my house phone (landline), my cell phone, and my husband’s cell phone. I am very upset that anyone would ever call at that time of night unless it was an emergency of some sort. That is definitely not good business practice and will let everyone know how they treat their customers. Very unprofessional and will never do business with this company again.”

- Called you about a debt you do not owe.
- Called you at work after you told them you cannot receive calls at work.
- Left you a message without identifying the company’s name.
- Left you a message without disclosing that the call is from a debt collector.
- Called third parties (family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors) even though the collection agency knows your contact information.
- Disclosed to a third party (family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors) that you owe a debt.
- Contacted you after you said stop calling.
- Threatened you with legal action (such as a lawsuit or wage garnishment).

- Failed to mark the debt on your credit report as disputed after you disputed the debt.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I have to pay your fees and costs for helping me with my consumer rights case? No. We handle consumer rights cases based on a fee-shift provision and/or a contingency fee. That means, either the other side pays your fees and costs, or we take a percentage of your recovery. Whether it’s a fee-shift case or a contingency-fee case, we don’t get paid unless you get paid, and you’ll never owe us a penny for our time.
- What are the damages under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act? You can get $500 per robocall, or $1,500 per robocall if the robocalls were willful. In any type of settlement, oftentimes Defendants pay much less than $500 per call. However, if there are 50 calls at issue, even at $250 per call, your case could settle for $12,500.00.
- Are there state laws that protect me from original creditors? Yes! Several states also have laws that provide their citizens with an additional layer of protection. For example, if you live in California, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin, you have additional state-law rights.
- What type of debt is covered under state laws that protect me from original creditors? Only consumer debt, such as personal, family, and household debts. For example, money you owe on a personal credit card, an auto loan, a medical bill, or a utility bill. State laws usually do not cover debts you incurred to run a business, or debts regarding unpaid taxes, or traffic tickets.
- Does the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act apply to banks or credit card companies? No. Only third-party debt collectors are bound by the FDCPA. That is, original creditors, such as credit card companies and banks are not bound by the FDCPA.
- Are mistakes on credit reports common? Yes! Are you one of the 40 million Americans that have a mistake on their credit report? Mistakes on your credit report can be very costly. Along with causing you to pay higher interest rates, you may be denied credit, insurance, a rental home, a loan, or even a job because of these mistakes. Some mistakes may include someone else’s information on your credit report, inaccurate public records, stale collection accounts, or maybe you were a victim of identity theft.
- What do I do if I have a mistake on my credit report? If you have a mistake on your credit report, there is a process to dispute them. My office will help you pull your credit report and dispute any inaccurate information. If a credit reporting agency violates its obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), you may be entitled to statutory damages up to $1,000.00, plus the credit reporting agency will be required to fix the error. The FCRA also has a fee-shift provision. This means the credit reporting agency pays your attorney’s fees and costs. Therefore, you will not pay me a penny for my time. To speed up the process, please get a free copy of your credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com. Harassing phone calls. Emails. Reporting to my credit report that I’m past due and I’m PAID OFF.
Conns was offering 12 months interest free. 1600. For a stove and window unit with heat so I agreed to pay 134.00 a month for l2 months ,but every time I call to make my payment they would tell me to pay 83.00 ...then I would tell them that paying 134.00 a month that I signed a 12 month interest free deal .at close to end of the 12 months I started asking how much do I owe ...and they would tell me I owed 800 or more dollars.well I thought that it was just something that was gonna fix it self on the last month but it only got worse ...they told me and are still saying that I owe them over 800.00 because I went passed the day of the 12 month interest free deal so I told them to sendme a copy of the contract that i signed ...well somehow they put me on a 2 year pay and ...if that is so there was no 12 month deadline ever set ......../I set there and the salesman set me up on a 12 month interest free deal I didn't want nothing else now there trying to steal over 800.00 from me and I'm pissed off bad how could there be a date set ...when there was never a contract to go by
... I paid 134 .00a month to be able to get the stuff paid for quickly and not to get jammed with over 20% interest
I am being bombarded with texts messages staying my account has been placed with an outside company. The account was paid off by my ex husband per our divorce. When I reply “stop” to the text messages, I keep getting them daily, if not every other day, even though I have replied to “stop” per the text. Is there anything I can do? Thank you
Please call me so i can explain issues
I made timely payments to Conns for years via their portal but they changed the portal without notifying me. I typically made my payment on the last day of month because that's when my pay period was. This resulted in a delinquent payment yet Conns penalized me and damaged my credit. Need help getting lates removed. Have since paid the account off in full.
I worked in the oil field for a few years and the money was good, I purchased a TV, 4K player, and TV mount from Conns. I was laid off in 2017 and was forced to take a much lower paying job. I was contacted several times to settle the debt but was unable to make any payments arrangements do to only having 1 income in my household. As time went by I waited for them to just repo the equipment, but they never did and I just forgot about it thinking it had just been sent to a debt collector and on my credit. 3 years later a constable shows up at my home to serve me papers for a lawsuit from Conns for $3040. Is there anything I can do to settle this outside of courts. My current job is a lot better paying, but I am still trying to recover from what happened in 2017 financially. Any help would be greatly appreciated as far as steps I can take to resolve this. I know the debt is accurate, just trying to bide some time to pay it off when I'm able to.
Conn’s is doing me for breach of contract
Being sued by conns. I was financed furniture. But was mislead. Had previous account with interest bearing. Then bought additional items. Was refinanced but interest bearing amount was added. To new account. Paying interest on intrsst of last loan.
Conn's employee signed my contract without my permission on the IPAD plus I was offered 12 months no interest which they voided because of a late payment their system kept glitching and posted the payment late plus they added renters insurance without permission since I had my own renters insurance even though proof was provided 5 times in person at the store they would not remove it they are very fraudulent everything they tell you verbally they do the opposite insted of my bill going down every month it would go up due to the excessive interest and customer service is the worste they don't speak actual english plus they go in and ruin your credit because when you try to speak to them regarding the account they ignore you even emails please don't purchase from them its a nightmare.
I was told I had a one year no interest for two separate accounts;however the payments were not set up for that amount. After a year I realized they had added nearly three times the amount for interst. Ease
Totally, we would pay nearly 10K for a washer/dryer and coach set. I called to pay off and they would not give me a payoff amount only telling me I had to pay the full interest amount even though I was paying early. I told them to come get the items because I wasn’t going to pay that much for these items, especially the couch set that already falling apart. I tried to add the items to my debt management account but I can’t because they are secured. I want to settle with them or have them come get these items. They are extremely shady in the dealings with people.

I have been having the biggest issue with conns billing department. I have went and finance 3 items. 2 of them has been stolen; the insurance company suppose to have paid these item off except 1. when I went to the store to pay off the dj equipment I had left on the loan. My account still had all three items I purchased first. The balance of my account did not go down. Every number you call and try to speak with someone in customer service is a long wait. The store manager is no help. They can't not help with any account detail information. I am in need of help. This is against the law to get the insurance money for the items and still have me paying for these items. Please help.
I paid a settlement to conns then they take that of and report balance again ok I paid for the second time the hold balance this it’s after a period that I lost my job ect ect so y I finally paid the remaining balance and it was more that 4 months ago until this they they keep reporting to the credit Bureaus that I owe them that amount when they send me a receipt that I have for the payment of the complete balance until this day I can not get it out of my credit and I what to get a lawyer to get them to court for false report I can not buy a house I can’t do nothing with my life after I pay them everything
I was bullied in the signing a contract for a man who has been just mad himself and with multiple other people trying to get a credit line for him for furniture so I move in with the guy I get the credit line for four grand sign the contract and then they explain to me that it’s actually $9000 and something after interest well three days after I move in with this guy he has hurt my dog to the point that I have two options surgery or euthanasia so I get everything in the U-Haul move all the stuff out except the stuff that he still hasn’t returned to me because he had it locked in his room and cons won’t take anything back well I didn’t sign upon delivery because they didn’t have most of the items there or correct so I never signed on it and they’ve yet to get in touch with me I’ve now been on the phone with Customer service line for 26 minutes and this is my third attempt to get in touch with them submitting that information to the helpdesk and getting A case number assigned they were supposed to contact me back still haven’t so this is my third attempt to get in touch with them cents and I am seriously considering saying screw my credit and keeping all this furniture not paying them a dime because I read all the reviews on the consumer reports and it looks like they like to rip people off and I’ve been ripped off enough by the guy that asked me to get a line of credit for him so just kind of looking for some options here. The nightstand in the Bose headphones totaling like $750 for those two items are still in his possession and I have an open case against him with the greenville County police department as well as and abuse case with the criminal investigations unit of animal cruelty in Greenville for what he did to my dog so I have a lot of stuff going on and I can’t even get in touch with them or login to see what my payment this month is supposed to be I got in contact with them within three days of them dropping off the furniture they weren’t able to change the address that they were sending the stuff to so it got sent to the house anyways where I had to get a U-Haul and move all the furniture myself to my new place after leaving there because he was abusing me an animal. I really could use some legal advice
So I originally got a washer machine from this company. They came out hooked it up, and left before the initial test was completed. The washer flooded my laundry room. So they came back picked up the unit and said I didn't owe anything. Then I got an email saying I was late on payments and said I owed 600 dollars. So I called them and threatened a law suit if it was not removed from my credit, and I was told the account was closed. Now I'm getting more emails about late payments, and it's back on my credit report I'm ready to sue this company I'm tired of their crap
Since mid Feb 2020 I have been called up to 13 times in one day from at least 5 different phone numbers from Conn's personal collecting department and one saying Mcm.
This goes on Monday thru Sunday. On Sundays they are in violation of the time frame in which they are allowed to call, usually around 10 am to 11 am is when I get called on Sundays.
I have been keeping track of all numbers they call from and dates and times. I have spoke to them and tried to setup a date to pay but they will not stop calling even when this is done that very day. So, that just makes me more stressed and I am done with dealing with the calls. I am done speaking to them and begging the calls to stop.
Can you please advise me
Thank you

Conn’s has been falsely reporting to the credit bureau. I and they both have proof of payments being made and are still reporting fraudulent numbers. On top of this I agreed to pay a certain amount and have been charged nearly double.
Conn’s open two accounts on me one with consent second without with same items and has ruined my credit and called and called me to pay and I’ve been paying and still idk what to do
I had a TV that was stolen from me which I had purchased from conns I sent them the police report and the insurance form they didn't input this information in the computer and in return seed me and put a judgement against me. Now they continue to contact me about a late payments from different number all hours of the day and night
I purchased furniture in 2015 , I did receive so many phone calls a day from Conn’s little by little they stop I just assumed it was sent to my credit. This year (may 2020) a man hands me a letter saying I have been sued. I need to hire an attorney for my case. Would like a consultation! Thank you .

Conn's goaded me in with a false settlement. They offered to settle my account for $1400 after submitting the payment, there's now no record of the settlement. I've called in and they refused to do anything
Conn's has been reporting 50 chargeoff with balance and multiple late payments each month for 5yrs. I have file with all bureau and CFPB FPD for false reporting harassment and false information regarding my name. This account is paid in full by my insurance and appliances was returned. They have ruined my credit my business credit and I have tried everything I can to remedy this situation thru any means given. Please help
Hi Im not sure if you can help me but I had an account with Conns that I finished paying in March. When I went to make my last payment on the phone they told me it was double the amount I was showing I spoke with a manager and she agreed and said she would get back with me. long story short we went back and forth for a while then they said they agreed to the original payment I said I owned and I made the payment. But now on my credit report it is showing a late payment for March and a charge off on one report a settlement on another and a charge off paid after collections on another. I have tried to get them to talk to me about it but no luck. I want them to remove the late payment and charge off notes. It never went to collections and was not a charge off. It was an error on their end they took so long to figure it out then sent me a letter after I paid saying it was a settlement. Can you assist me if so how much do you charge?
I purchased furniture from COnn's Furniture in LIttleton, Colorado. I now live in Oklahoma and have been sued by Conn's. The catch is according to them I owe 4500 and I did sign the contract. Although, I signed it under duress. The salesman never truly explained the process. Sadly, I was under the impression it was like a rent to own and if I couldn't afford it or wanted to return it I did not have to pay the balance. My husband lost his job and I was in the process of obtaining my disability for the second time. Once I had to leave my job I was on SSD.
I called Conn's to come get the furniture. I then recieved a bill for 4000 if and told it was a repossession.
I then did not hear from them for two years. While in OK I recieved an offer to settle for 1400 from a collection agency. Sadly, I was freaked out and forgot about it. THen I received the lawsuit from an attorney in OK.
I have replied to the court and them. I now have a letter to phone them. I need help,. I am school teacher who is divorced with a daguther in college and recovering from a financial nightmare of a divorce.
Current Employee (name given in private).

Conns home plus forced it employees during the Covid-19 shut down to work in their stores with PPE and threatened anyone who called in sick that they would terminate their employment. On the Website Indeed under the Mesquite Location there is a employee review that goes over the fact that on May 9th of 2020 all employees were forced to come to work and didn't have any PPE, Hand Sanitizer etc. When the health department came to the store the district manager who operates out of that store told all employees to go hide in the clearance center which has a back loading dock, and hundreds of places to disappear into. Sense then several Conns employees and their families have contracted the virus and were forced to come into work until they could produce a doctors not signaling a positive.
Further more, in January of 2019 the mesquite Conns store had an employee take 280,000 dollars from their cash register by deleting payments made to their credit accounts. Conns has the video subservience showing the people paying but has told all customer who paid during the time that employee was stealing that their payment would not count unless they recuperated the money. So Conn's customers lost their payments. These payment can be proven through their security cameras but Conn's will not allow the customers access nor tell them they've got the footage of them paying. I watched as our Regional VP got promoted to VP because me devised the plan to allow the losses to be absorbed by the public.
I get three to five calls from Conns daily. After I have already told them I and out of work with no income.
I fell behind on payments. I agreed to Settlement and full filled the agreement and letter was sent stating that was completed. Now three years later a lawyer has purchased the debt and demanding payment even though I had a settlement agreement
Hi,
I went and got furniture from Conn’s in 2017. The price I was quoted wasn’t what I currently owe, because I wasn’t informed that if I didn’t pay it off in 90 days, the balance increased drastically. I been called so many times about the balance I owe, they have called my family about my balance even though I have asked them to stop. I asked them to pick up the furniture, they said that they don’t do that. I received notice today that I am being sued for the balance I owe them. I can’t afford it now. I have been unemployed for the past 5 months, and just started a new job. I haven’t even been able to pay my mortgage. I don’t know what to do. It’s not that I don’t want to do the right thing, but I want them to do the right thing as well.
I purchased furniture in 2016 ,that i did give several payments then I stoped, I did receive so many phone calls a day from Conn’s then they stoped but again for last four months i started getting calls again by collectors advising me I would show on my credit or to come to a settlement, that i couldnt due to covod 19 things are just hard right now. Yesterday (July 23,2020) an officer hands me a letter saying I have been sued. I need to hire an attorney for my case. Im rrally confused this account is already showing on my credit,It was a tv, that i dont have anymore it broked i dint have the money to pay them back im being sued for 1900.I need your advise
I’ve asked them to stop calling and everyday I get a call from conns from a different state. They call every single day and I have blocked at least 15-20 different numbers from them. I haven’t bought anything from them and owe them no money.
I don’t understand I’m being served when the account is showing charge off on my credit report also with different amount
am being harassed by conns Appliances and i just Got papers they are suing me
Being harassed by Conns Appliances. Received documents about being sued
I had 3 unpaid accounts with Conn's. I paid one this week after a law firm sent me lawsuit hand delivered letter last week
Conn's Appliance is using me for debt in 2017
I could not make the payments due to covid. They wouldn't work with me and kept calling my work, emailing and calling my wife
I have a late payment on my credit report for the incorrect month when I called and made a timely payment and associate told me not to pay and to wait for payment to go back thru bank that had an issue with payment
806-318-2215 - this person keeps calling my work and phone, telling me he has a legal matter and won’t stop calling me. Can you help me?
I paid $500 down and $120 per month for 2 years on a $2500.00 contract. Conns repeatedly drafted my bank account after I told them I owed them nothing. Then they began calling at least 30 times a day. They claim I still owe $2800 . More than the original contract. Now they have posted a charge off on my credit report
I purchased a couch, and stove in 2015, I paid on it for 2 years and like most sucker's I went back 18 mo later and bought 2 computers. Even though the couch was almost paid off the ses rep added the remaining balance to my new contract which I paid on until I was diagnosed in 2018 with cancer and had triple bypass surgery due to chemotherapy complications. Conns constantly calls my home and cell numbers. They have been threatening court action if I don't at least settle for less. Which I just found on today that Justice court case has a case filed on 7/28 but I have yet to be served. Their furniture is Junk. Everything I purchased has fallen apart. I have the protection plan but can't use it. This company is what their names says: A con!

Conns has sent over papers for a law suit
This company takes payment directly from our account. We are still making payments on a non working refrigerator. It broke down within the first 2 months of purchase and is now 18 months later useless. We've called numerous times for service to no avail. We get the runnaround. Today a rep actually said we should get a cooler or just purchase another fridge! We are disgusted never been late or missed a payment. I asked for a supervisor because i want it removed from our payment because it never works. I was told about a class action suit with LG fridges but even with that we have to make our payment or be sent to collections. During a pandemic we have no food no fridge but a huge dept and harassment from Conns. We were CONNED
Getting about 15 calls a day. Lost job due to COVID layed off can’t afford the bill.
I never purchased anything from Conns but I’m getting multiple calls a day from different states from them. I’ve attempted to block their number but numbers changes as they call from different states.
Was served papers.. please help not sure what to do. Don’t work; my husband does. Don’t want to go to jail
I am trying to reach someone about cons trying to sue me for some furniture that was picked up from my residence due to damage the furniture was damaged so I had the furniture return back to constant and still was waiting for furniture to be delivered that has never happened and then the next thing you know I was being handled I'll call the harassed by different lawyers that supposedly had to represent them or collecting agency pertaining to the agreement I had with cons which I did not have an agreement with cons within the time. That the agreement was was was supposedly had been signed I was in the right time frame as far as them picking up the furniture because it was damaged which day did I was never contacted from that point all had Furniture return to me from the contract of the understanding that I had with X and my understanding is that I feel to believe that I don't really think I owe them anything
conns has been calling and harassing me for more than a year no matter how many times I tell them i am disabled and cannot afford to pay. Today they dropped off legal papers suing me. But they did not personally serve me as I am not located in the state of TX currently. Im in NY taking care of my 86 year old Mother who is very ill.
I probably owe Conns less than $1600 and I am not able to pay it anymore. I signed an agreement at 19 years old. I’m now 22 and they are threatening to sue me. They call me everyday from an unknown number and leave voicemails that they are about to proceed with legal actions. I’ve gotten tons of letters. I need the harassment to stop.
Made a purchase cash over 3,000 3 months later and over 5 rescheduled deliveries and lie after lie I asked for a refund and 2 months, and 50 calls to corporate I still don’t have my check????
Hello I have a paper form that was dropped off at my grandfathers front porch in a zip loc bag stating Conn’s appliances is trying to sue me
Conns trying to sue me. Today is 9/15/2020 and I got served around 6:40pm. As I look over the paper that only gives me 20 days to respond I find out that this paper was processed July 28, 2020 and issued on August 8, 2020. The 20 days has already passed. I just need help.
Was served court papers this morning (September 16) in regard to a lawsuit against me from Conn’s Appliance account in August 2016. Could no longer afford payments, so stop paying. Account was put into collections and charged off. Continued to receive credit offers from Conn’s.
I've received their ghost calls countless times, I can't afford any of the things under my credit nor do I even have any of those things in my possession any more.
My exhusbond and I went to Conns where we made the purchased
My exhusbond and I went to Conns December 2019 so my exhusbond could submit an application to take over the loan since he had the merchandise. He was approved & we were told he would be getting the contract emailed, he would electronically sign it & email it back. In Jan 2020 he had not received the email with the contract. I contacted the manager which was the person that we dealt with when we went to do the application & I was told the finance dept is responsible for emailing the contract. I called the finance dept was told the store where we did the application is responsible for getting my exhusbond the contract. For 2 1/2 months I was told that. Finally in March the manager realized he was responsible for getting the contract. The contract was FedEx to my exhusbond on March 16th exhusbond signed it sent it back, then manager FedEx it to contract processing, the confirmed receiving it March 21st. On March 26th I was told by manager that contract processing was behind about 2 weeks but the account would be transferred into my exhusbond name within a month & any adverse actions against my credit would be reversed. I have continued to receive calls demanding a payment. I have spoke to customer service, finance dept, contract processing & several supervisors along with the manager that was in charge of our acct at least 3 times a month. I have had several help desk tickets opened & still nothing has been done. The acct is still in my name & it now has gone to an outside collection agency. It is negatively affecting my credit. I don't know who else I could possibly talk to with Conns that can & will correct this problem. I called Conns store & the manager that was in charge of my acct, the application, contract ect. no longer works there. Each time I've spoke with customer service, finance dept ect I've had to explain the whole story which obviously is quit long & I've expressed my concern about this negatively affecting my credit & how it needs to be fixed before it ends up going to collections & every time was I reassured it would be handled & not end up in collections. August 7, 2020 I received a bill from American Coradius International LLC. collection agency for the Conns acct. I am fighting cancer & its exhausting dealing with this.
Conn's suing me I have bench court next month
Conns has reported my account charged off even after it was discharged in Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Apparently they reported the balance to a older closed account that the balance was rolled into a new account that is listed as discharged in bankruptcy.
I spoke with someone yesterday and haven't recieved my email from you all. Im so ready to have this Conns nightmare behind me

Conns delivered broken furniture to home and I was told I could get it repaired. Well the company and delivery company gave me the run around by not answering the phone to obtain a repair request. I have only paid 3 or 4 payments due to losing my job last October. I was ill for 3 weeks. For the past 10 months they have bothered me constantly by phone for a payment plan. I have a new job but had to buy two cars and be out unnecessary money. I cannot afford to pay them right now. I have to help my family. I do need help with some type of payment plan but not 10,000 dollars especially when the furniture i sit on is broken. The Only Thing Worth my purchase was my refrigerator in my entertainment center
I paid over half of my debt to Conn's went back and bought a 500.00 dryer. they added it to back to my whole three year account. I had paid over 18 months off. Now, I am in a charge off, because they this and did not tell me. I refuse to pay for an account twice. A $500 dryer should not have been added to my account and restarted my whole 36 month account all over again. Please help me get this charge off reduced or taken off of my credit. Now they say I owe over $8000.
I am writing in regards to Conns home plus online store. I purchased an item from them which I never received. Apparently, it was damaged twice on the shipment through FedEx. So finally, after getting the run around for two weeks I asked for a refund. They repeatedly told me after the item is delivered back to their warehouse they would gladly refund my money. The day FedEx sent an email confirming the item was return, I forwarded this email to Conns and still did not get anywhere with them. I also called them several times that day and was constantly told the same thing. Please help!! I have proof that this money was deducted from my bank account. It has been 2 weeks since I placed this order and have not received anything!! This situation is causing me severe emotional distress. It is affecting my health because I cannot get it off my mind
The merchandise i received was faulty i called conns telling them to come get there merchandise they refused i stop paying. An from the time I stop paying them they have called day an night early morning to late nights they were also constantly texting me
continuous robo calls from conns
in early or late June i purchased on credit about 3200.00 worth of furniture. However, after 5 promises of delivery, missing work time waiting. I told the rep and the delivery company im canceling my order. I cld customer service 5 times, they said ok or they have noted the cancel. Not! Im getting bills and frequent calls from collections. I don't have the furniture nor was it delivered. No signature accepting delivery.
I received letters in the mail from other law firms trying to represent me due to a case against me from Conns, I had no idea this had been filed. It’s been 3 years and counting since the account charge off... balance is not even that high. Not sure how long I have to take the next step.
Opened an account with Conns for a computer 12/21/14 paid on that never missed payment 8/2015 my washer died went to Conns got a washer they told me to combine the 2 contracts (although the computer was only for 2 years but he said payments would be less combining so I did) continued my payments then in Aug of 2016 my dishwasher broke so I went to Conns got a dishwasher they again combined payments and then in sept 2016 I had to get a new fridge and beds for family. I continued my payments until April 2018 when I financially was not able to afford the payments my husband has a lot of medical issues and my elderly mom was as well...I contacted Conns to work with them and ask how my balance could be so high when I have been paying over $300 a month payments. They wouldn’t work with me and started calling several times a day I asked them to stop calling while I was at work and they started calling my job I had to tell them several times to stop calling me at work. I continued to get offers to come in for yes money. I called Conns collection to see if there was a way to settle the account or make smaller payments was informed it was sent to a out for collections and I would need to contact the attorney but they couldn’t give me any information who to contact...Nothing is on my credit for collections from them just closed accounts. Then last oct 2019 I noticed a civil suit saying I was served for court but never was. It didn’t have an attorney listed and later the case said Dismissal for Lack of Service and then Dismissal Without Prejudice. Case was closed and case status Adjudicated. Now again I see a civil suit filed and I am not sure what to do. The last closed information on my credit shows $8220.00 not sure how the balance is that high with payments from 9/16-4/18 of over $300 a month. I just need help on how to get this all figured out. Thank you!
I need to discuss a Conns lawsuit.
Conn’s sent out a new contract for me to start paying while I’m paying on a open contract already. The new contract has increased payments and a higher balance for the items I have paid on for all most a year. The balance in the new contract is thousands of dollars more.
Harassed and threatened to get sued by conns
Just got a paper saying I was sued by conns and I thought everything was fine i don’t know what to do
went in to make my payment on my bed set which the balance pay off was $3138.00 before my payment of 202 on Nov 25, 2020. They had a special on pack man mini arcades and told me tat if I refinanced the machines would be free and my payments would be lower. I received my coupon book today and it says my account balance is $6071.40. I freaked out. I called the store that refinanced my account and explained i was not told that my amount would go up. We have been dealing with conn's for over 4 years and i have never been lied to (we usually deal with David but he was out of the store on the day i went in). when i called David today DEC 3,2020 830 PM He told me that i could not return these arcade machines (200 value, I have 2). I was lied to when quoted and my account balance has now jumped $3000 over 2 "free" arcade machines because i refinanced. It has not even been 30 days yet. I told David i wanted him to gtake these machines back and put my account back the way it was. again he sais he could not. can someone please help me for being verbally lied to and misquoted?
We bought a sectional couch from Conn’s furniture in Yuma Az about eight months ago. We were told our sectional was Italian leather when it was actually made in China. Conns is knowingly misleading the public and engaging in a bait and switch scam. I want a brand-new sectional that is actually Italian leather as I was led to believe the one, I bought was. This would absolutely be a loser in court for conns. They to this day have the same sectional for sale in their stores with "Italian Leather" stickers posted on it. The sectional is only about 8 months old. I have photo documentation to prove my case. There are more details regarding this that I have. Conn's has one hundred and sixty-one stores that they are executing this bait and switch operation through on a daily basis. Please give me a call as soon as possible at 928-580-3113. Best regards, Steve McCurry
I am paying my bill every month in bi weekly payments on auto draft have been on time and not missed a payment since November of 2019-I had some late payments prior to that but solid now and they constantly call from all different numbers, email and text me that my account is behind and need to set up payment arrangements.I talk to them and tell them I have auto draft payments set up and not behind but they keep calling me--need to do something about this I am tired of being harassed by them and using all sorts of phone numbers to call me from. I block them and they just use different numbers. This has been going on all year.
I have been summoned with a letter saying for a Motion for continuous. I dont know what to do. Please help me. Thank you
Conn's is constantly calling me every single day; I attempted to return the items since I could no longer pay them due to covid impacting my financial situation. However they told me I had to take the appliances to the store myself(Washer, dryer, and fridge) and they would auction it then put that sum towards my debt(Expected to continue to make payments until they did that) Even after I told them I had no means of transporting them they would not come pick them up their selves.
My husband and I paid the settlement offer, but his credit report has 3 different Conn's accounts on it with a balance. The letter they sent us said the reports would show "settled for less than owed" and that is not the case. Also, when we had a payment arrangement and was paying, they were still reporting us as late payments
I made a purchase from conns in 2019. I was able to make one large payment in 2020. But have been getting calls/emails every single day saying I owe. I do not have a receipt or intrest information. And this information is not available on online account. I would like a settlement if possible, but need to know the amount owed is correct.
I am thinking about suing Conn's for damaging my credit unnecessarily. I live in Dallas, TX. We made a payment arrangement that I honored and they did not. I have records to prove it. I shouldn't be in arrears. Arrangement made with Conn's rep to defer payments until May/June. Payments were made June-August per bank docs . I have screenshot proof my payments were deferred till June 11th
I shouldn't be in arrears. Pay arrangement was made with Conn's to defer until June. It's obvious I'm not 9 months late. Payments made June-Aug. I have screenshot proof my payments were deferred till June 11th
I need to speak with someone to see if legal action is feasible and so I can determine if I can afford to pursue this. Thank you.

Conn's repeatedly calls.. even 10 oclock at night And calls my job.. im only 5 days behind.
We purchased furniture from them which arrived damaged and we sent in tons of pictures and we were supposed to be given credits on the damages. Then they started harassing us when my husband lost his job and I'm on disability. We tried to get it caught up but covid struck and then we fell behind on everything. My biggest fear is being sued by them for my husband's and my account. Long story we thought we only had one account it has been a mess from the beginning.

Hi Rosetta. Do you have a call log of Conn's calling you at 10:00 pm? Under the law they cannot call you at hours that are unacceptable, which the government has decided is no calls before 8am or after 9pm in your time zone. If you have that record, send it over to my office at michael@agrusslawfirm.com where I will review it and give you a call. Thanks, Mike

I have a default judgement can I settle for less if paid in lump sum?
No longer on my credit report I just want it gone.
I had 2 accounts with conns and in Aug I had a house flood. I filed a claim on the insurance and received confirmation of payment made to creditor “cc Conns” but I am getting phone calls over and over that will not stop. Day and night. I went to purchase a car my credit score dropped 140 points and continues to drop saying I am delinquent. I was never late. And insurance is saying they are paid I have the letters. I have contacted the store manager who is trying to help me nothing is working. My credit is ruined.
My husband and I have had a little trouble paying our Conns payment on time, the past few months. We received a letter from Conns and the balance they had listed was doubled what owed them. I called them and they stated that because we had a late payment that the cash out option no longer applied and they add $2000 of interest. We were not aware of a cash out option and did not know that it would double what we owed by paying a late payment or two. I refuse to pay this amount back and it has to be illegal. We had a late payment because if both had Covid in December. Please help us with this! Thank you.

Michael Agruss

Hi Brad. Conn's may accept payment from you to avoid court fees, which can be costly. They may state that they want access to your bank account, which I would recommend you NOT do. I would only suggest allowing them access to an account that is used solely to pay that debt and is not your main bank account. I would also make sure to get their terms in writing for dealing with this debt and getting the lawsuit cancelled. If you'd like assistance in dealing with Conn's, please feel free to contact me and we can discuss your options. Thanks, Mike
Some days 20+ phone calls. Now emails threatening legal action. We got a washing machine and dryer right before Covid wrecked my business. We haven’t made but one or two payments. I told them what had happened, we’ve been struggling ever since and unable to pay. Yet they still call all the time. I want to keep the stuff and want to pay at some point. But they are going to have legal action against me before I even can.
April 1st I saw conns trying to take money out of my account I called and canceled it and told the man to take my card off file that i only used my card once to pay my boyfriends bill not make it a autopay thing. The man said it was taken off and I wouldn’t be charged again. I checked my bank and on may 3rd I was charged for 658.38 from conns. I called my bank to tell them everything. Conns was told on a recorded line that I didnt not want my card on file anymore that I paid one time and it isn’t even my account and they did not do it and charged my card again.
Conns served me and are suing me for 2000 and I am unsure what to do.
Conns took $4050.77 out of my business account on May 24th 2021 without authorization. I spoke to a "kathy" on May 28th 2021 in the fraud department. She took my information and told me that someone in the refund department would be contacting me that same day (28th). I waited all day no one called me so I called her back. She then tells me that she has no way to contact them other then by email and she left them a email, that was all she could do. I explained to her that this has caused my company a huge issue as now I am unable to conduct my business due to not able to pay my vendors. It can potentially ruin my company! She told me " sorry thats all I can do". Then hung up the phone.
I am at a loss because now its weekend and Monday is a holiday! I have checks written on money they stole from my company account! Whos going to pay all the overdraft fees for their theft? Why should I be punished for them taking funds from my account unauthorized? I dont know what to do or how to fight this...any help would be most appreciated. Thank you

I opened an account with Conn’s Plus/Conn’s Appliances in October 2018. I made 6 on-time payments for a two year contract, before I became homeless and was no longer able to pay. My only source of income is SSDI. They are still emailing me after I emailed a Judgment Proof letter on 5/5/2021. I sent another Judgment Proof letter on 6/18/21. I’m still getting collection emails from them. I am on disability for anxiety and depression. They are relentless. It’s affecting my mental health. Please advise. Thank you.

I've just been served by Conn's regarding a purchase. I let them know that I hadn't been able to maintain my payments because of an emergency surgery that happened days after the purchase and due to losing employment. I asked them specifically if I could use the unemployment insurance and was told no, yet here it is stated in the citation that I'd have to pay back any monies that were used for unemployment. I need to know the right way to approach this. I am now employed again, but unable to pay the full $5k that they are asking for. Please advise.

I have an open account with Coon's furniture in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, My high bill was around 11,000.00 I took a 12 mos. no interest plan. However, because of unforeseen events, i had not paid the account out and thus their stated interest rate started on the balance of around 3,000.00. My original contract was started on 11/08/2018, the payment amount was 447.82 for 36 mos. if not paid in 12 mos period. I made my first 2 payments of that amount , On the 3rd payment 01/2019 i started paying 500.00 each month until 10/2021. The company never gave me principal payment credits for any of my additional payment on any payments from 01/2019 up to 10/2021. When i made payments and asked for my balance they gave a break down where for over a year of payments they were only applying 200.00 or less to my balance and over 300.00 in most cases as interest on each payment. This represented an interest rate of over 50%. I never was late or missed a payment on this account from 11/2018 until 10/2021. All payments were Cash In store payments. I have all of my payment receipts. I believe at one point they were cnfusing my account with another client of the same name as mine. I have tried several times to ask for a settlement amount of this account many times since 10/21 with agents who seem to call 7 to 10 times a day only to ask for a payment on the account. I have made it clear to each agent that i talked with to relay my desire to settle this account with an agreed amount, no response from the company only calls all through the day by live and maybe robot callers all hours of the day and night with no response. I clearly explained that after the payment of 500.00 in October of 2021, I was not going to make any more payments and they charge me an over 50% interest rate on each payment. They claim I still have a balance of over 3,800.00 and i have already payed over 12,000,00 on an 11,000.00 original balance.

Wound up losing my job and then being medically unable to work due to high risk pregnancy and had to move in with someone so we wouldn't be homeless. Told conns as soon as they called that we were now unemployed and that we were unable to continue making payments and they said they wanted to regain possession of tv. We said we understood and gave them address. They called 10 times a day for several months and said we needed to bring the TV to them they refused to come get it. That's not how repossession works. Started stressing me to the point of cramps during pregnancy and told them come get it or leave us alone or I sue for harassment. Then emailed them a letter stating the homeowner was giving them 30 days to come pick up their property or he would sell it. They ignored us and disappeared for almost 2 years. Got summons for court called them and again said come get it or leave us alone and they still refuse to come get it saying we gonna get sued unless we bring it to them. We ain't refusing to give it up they are refusing to take it back. How can you sue me for what I'm telling you you can have
Beth

I got a new phone and number in November of 2021. Within days I began to notice I was getting calls from several numbers I didn't recognize. I quickly figured out they were coming from Conn's Homeplus. I have blocked so many different numbers from them that I've lost count. They call me all day, even on weekends and at night. I have NEVER done any business with Conn's Homeplus nor have I purchased anything from them. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling me. I have advised them that I don't know who they are trying to reach but I have never done business with them. I have asked them to stop calling me several different times. They have not stopped. I continue to receive 4-5 calls a day, sometimes more. I'm so fed up. What do I do?

Hi Jennifer. When did you have the contract with Conn's? Have you been served paperwork for the lawsuit? I would like to talk with you to get some further information, I will be in touch. Thanks, Mike

Hi Damon. Here is what the FDCPA states:
§ 811. Legal actions by debt collectors
(a) Any debt collector who brings any legal action on a debt against any consumer shall—
(1) in the case of an action to enforce an interest in real property securing the consumer’s obligation, bring such action only in a judicial district or similar legal entity in which such real property is located; or
(2) in the case of an action not described in paragraph (1), bring such action only in the judicial district or similar legal entity—
(A) in which such consumer signed the contract sued upon; or
(B) in which such consumer resides at the commencement of the action.
Debt collectors will often choose which state they want to use based on the longer statute of limitations, but this does not mean that just because you moved, the statute of limitations "restarts" to the new state. Do you have your Conn's contract? You can often look at that and determine if there was a "choice of laws" clause. You can send over the contract you had with Conn's to my office at michael@agrusslawfirm.com. I can review it and then contact you to discuss this in more detail--I know that law can be confusing and trying to wade through it to find the answers may seem almost impossible, but I would be happy to help. I will be in touch to have a free, no-obligation consultation with you. Thanks, Mike
Conns is trying to collect $1,745.60 when what I bought was under $1,000 and I paid over $650 on it before Covid. They called me all day everyday at least 10 times a day from July 2019 until August 2020 when I got a new phone number Judy to try some peace. Every time they called I would tell them to stop calling me and block the number, only for them to call back again an hour later from a different number. I have over 20 blocked numbers in my old phone from Conns.
Now since they don’t have my new number they are sending me emails and mail threatening to ruin my credit and sue me for $1,745.60.
They mixed my account with some else and called me a week after I did my 1st purchase, after so many store visit to the store to try to fic the issue, they removed the items, I paid off my debt but they affected my credit.

Hi Ursala. I can help you with this inaccurate report by Conn's on your credit report. Give me a call so we can discuss your options. Thanks, Mike 312 300 5996
I rented a washer and dryer from Appliance Warehouse and they bill in advance. Due to this, even though I was technically current, I was incurring a late fee of 15.00 per month which has added up over 2 years. Now they are threatening to sue me and make me pay their attorneys fees and repossess the washer and dryer and ruin my credit. I have received a bunch of harassing calls as well. This has been really stressful for me. I have paid them hundreds of dollars already for equipment that barely works.

I had gotten laid-off by conns home plus in May and I had a account with them. Since I had gotten laid-off I haven't been able to catch up my payments and I've told conns this multiple times and that I will make the payment as soon as possible. But I keep getting around 9-10 calls a day from various conns numbers. I've had to start blocking them so I don't get get bothered every hour of the day.

Was served papers on Friday. Conn’s is suing me for past due amount I owe them. After checking my credit, they closed my account almost a year ago. They wrote it off as lost profit.

Hi Charles. I'm going to call you to discuss this settlement and the loss of proof of the settlement. Thanks, Mike
In a past relationship not married I entered into an agreement with a person I was with at the time. One week later we broke up. I contacted conns to pick up furniture because I wasn’t allowed back at the property. Conns refused so I was in a bind. I received a lawsuit from Conns and never responded. The lawsuit stated I owed about $4000.Conns started garnishing my wages from my last job totaling $1677. A hurricane came and I left that job. My current job I started in January of this year I just received a letter from ADP stating my wages is going to be garnished and that I owe conns over $6000. I would like to settle this debt for a lowered amount .

Hi Kendale. I'm sorry that you not only had to deal with a bad relationship, but now Conn's is causing you issues over some furniture that isn't even in your possession. Do you have the paperwork from the court case against you? If you do, you can send that over to me at michael@agrusslawfirm.com. I will look it over and contact you about what options you have in getting this resolved, hopefully at a lower amount. Thanks and I hope to speak with you soon. Mike
Being sued by conns appliances inc, account has been charged off as bad debt need to subit answer in 14 days the have violated fcra, fdcpa, and tila laws.
I repeatly asked Conn\'s for my new account number when I refinance, they never sent it to me. Now I am being sued. I also received email that said paid off, so I thought that at first. Reread the email and asked for account number to pay on. No replies, now I am being sued. How do I fix this?
I got some items form Conn\'s I guess About 2 years ago it was during the pandemic. Istopped paying because the Chair and Sofa fell abart, I called repeatedly and they just blew me ooff. How can I fix this problem without having topay for the items I don\'t have. This is about 3 yrs old
Conn\'s has a judgement against me and is currently garnishing my wages.
I have a problem with Conn\'s Appliances. They used a bait and switch scheme on me. I spoke with their salesman (Ray) over the phone and I was purchasing a 77-in LG model C2 OLED TV. The TV was $2799.00 and the payments they advertised were $68 a month, which is why I called them and dealt with their salesman in the first place. I had multiple phone calls over a few days with their salesman . I agree to the deal based on $68.00 per month. When I was getting ready to go to the store to purchase the TV, I called to make sure the salesman knew I was coming in a few minutes. The salesman said hang on and then a person named Crystal Lynn picked up the call. She said she was the sales manager and \"we just put this together and ran your credit and unfortunately you\'re not going to qualify for the $68 payment, it\'s going to be $203.70 per month for 24 months with the first payment due in 30 days. I was disheartened to hear this information and I protested. She said well, what I\'ll do for you is discount the television to $2,400.
I said well I\'m not happy, but the discount helps. I am on my way and will be there in a few minutes. When I got to the store I was told the salesman was not available. Then I asked for Crystal Lynn. An Asian guy- I think his name might have been JD - greeted me. He said \"let me show you the TV you\'re getting\" and took me to the demonstrator model on the floor, and then walked me to a desk. I asked to speak with Crystal Lynn. He walked around to the next cubicle - about 6-8 feet away - and spoke very briefly to a female and then came back to his desk. I could see the back of her head because she was only a few feet away. He said \"she\'s in a meeting and she\'s tied up\". So then he shows me some documents that are set up with DocuSign on his computer and quickly went over the price, which turned out to be $2,499 and tells me it\'s fashioned as a lease. Once again they lied. It was supposed to be $2400. I executed the documents through the docusign app on his computer. This was on Dec. 12, 2022. He said \"I need to collect $54.11 from you for a processing fee. I had not been told about this ahead of time , but I paid that amount with my debit card. Then I noticed that this person - Crystal Lynn - was just sitting there with her back to me, B.S.\'ing with another employee. As I was leaving, I noticed that they had the same TV for sale at $2,499. She lied about giving me a special discount.
On December 27Th $401.42 was debited from my bank account by the finance company (First American Finance). So they lied to me about the first payment being due in 30 days. The payments were quoted to me at $203.70 per month. I have the amount in my notes.
I have been scammed by these people. I need some legal help please.
I don\'t even know where to Begin. So I\'ll start with this: almost all your reviews match mine. I need representation.
Conn\'s has been harassing me. We initially ordered a bedroom suite and dinning table. Upon delivery they brought a used bedroom set that had someones name carved into the surface. We rejected that merchandise but proceeded with Dinning table.
In the week it took them to find the correct new bedroom set, all 4 chairs of dining room table broke. and had to be replaced. When bedroom was redelivered, they didnt bring all the pieces. and replacement chairs for dining set broke.
When first payment came due, I spoke with reps and they told us it wasnt their problem that we hadnt received all of our merchandise and that it kept breaking. I told them to come pick up merchandise and that i wouldn\'t pay and they said no.
Been gettin 4 calls a day minumum, from multiple Conns numbers.
This is crazy.
Conn\'s online payments kept reverting my automatic payment to the lowest payment. I had set up many times an amount that would have me pay off the balance before the interest hit my account. Before any payment would be charged Conn\'s would change it back to the minimum without sending any kind of notification. They also do not show any information on interest accrued on the account.
Conn\'s Appliances, Inc. has issued a Civil Action to sue me over debt. Quick version, I was paying, lost my job, informed them about that and they harassed me daily (3-4 calls and 1-2 emails daily) even when I told them the situation. Resumed paying when I was able under a phone conversation that the payments made would bring me current, but then interest was added making the payments cancel each other out each month when I paid, because I could not keep up with the interest. Then my wife lost her job and we were unable to pay. Informed Conn\'s, they just called 3-5 times and emailed 1-2 times daily asking for payment which I told them I did not have. They emailed a notice saying it was going to collections, then on 4/28/2023 I was issued by the Sherriff the Civil Summons saying I was being sued. I appreciate your help and guidance on what needs to be done at this time. Thank you, Justin
Conns still on my credit report after seven year it has ben 7 years and 6 months.
I leased a washer and drier on June of 2017. The washer stopped working aproximently
I leased a washer and drier on June of 2017. The washer stopped working approximately 2 months later. I ended up buying another washer and drier from somewhere else and told them to come pick theirs up . They informed me it was a lease and I owned the washer and drier and the lease. I have been trying to pay them off now, and they are telling me they sold the debt to someone else.
I rcv 3 Bills, payment books from Conns and I have no products from them, on May 2nd went in to look at laptops and printers they had none I wanted, and the sales man assured me I had 14 days to decide to go ahead and get this other one and then he ordered a printer I was unsure about but he assured plenty time to think about, so I went home and researched and on May the 3rd not even a whole 24 hours, nothing out of package etc, returned for found ones I really wanted at another place also with out all the additional inhumane charges. So the manager at Conns in Conroe Tx, insisted I had to pay a restock fee of 180.00, I let her know I absolutely not paying you for that is not even right to do to a person. Wrong customer service. I was in there for a long long time for was not leaving until this all clear. I ask for the owner or corporate office and she said she would call them and said they said same. As she was on phone I showed her this I pulled up on their website about return policy as long as package not open and within 14 days..., she reluctantly finally said she would return and cancelled the printer that was to be ordered and delivered two wks later. She was very unproffessional! As going out the door she said if printer still happens to come anyway just refuse the package, so I came home looked at BBB and found how many people they have messed over and as robbing people to me, so I even called conns to make sure printer order cancelled and they said it was. Well then like 3 days later fed ex brings a printer and said that had been cancelled. He was like I wish they would have let me know. I said they did not unsure why he was not informed. So about one week later we get 3 different notifications from fed ex on 3 different attempts to deliver a package that needs someone here. I called Fed Ex to see what this may be, for had no thought at all it would still be that same printer. So I called Fed Ex explained that had been cancelled and should never had been placed or sent out. So then approx. week and half I get a payment bk for $2,091.30 and another payment book a day later of$643.07 and then recently a insurance proposed amount by Conn Credit corp of 487.11? I have lost alot of work and meetings to meet people to sale items I have or made for on the phone several days for many hours and even went in person to Conns and spoke with a Robin manager and he said he would call me back that day with a fed ex tracking number for I need to find product for mine not their problem. I could not believe this. He never called, and every thing Conns is about is what their name represents, sad for the people wrapped up with them! So where its at today which unsure for they they have said same thing for weeks all along it will take 24 to 48 hours. I called Fed Ex they said order was sent on May 18 to a Synnex Info Tech 800 544 3580 in New Jersey and was shocked at their rude response that they could not do nothing I need to call store manager back to square one... I called back customer service explained all... so who knows That bill reflected on my credit score that I have been working so hard to build back up, for my credit was excellence, paid of my condo in Garland through chase even, then I ended up 2016 locked up for DWI almost 5 yrs and had sold my condo paid off all then while locked up my credit was used etc, causing defaults or write offs on my credit, it is like starting over in my life now, and working really hard to reestablish so why needed a computer and printer so I can help build back a business. The bills that should not be mine are due July 15th and they said computer is off for other still on but all maybe in 24 and 48 hours... Conns manager said I need to find it and have it delivered then make a label, I was like what I did not order it. Anyway I am wore out wasted alot of precious time is their something you maybe able to have my name totally cleared out of Conns billing etc. ?
I purchased furniture from Conn\'s Appliances in Texas. I defaulted on the loan, and I owe them money. They opened a case against me in Collin County, which I found out about after the hearing was dismissed. Last month, my sister in Florida (who I listed as a relative on the application), started receiving letters from attorneys addressed to me -- notifying me that Conn\'s had filed a lawsuit against me in Seminole County, Florida. They haven\'t served me, as I don\'t live in Seminole County. They had a hearing, and filed a continuation because they haven\'t served me. I owe the money for the furniture, and am willing to pay it if they can work with me on payments, but I have no idea what to do with all of this, or why they\'re filing in Seminole County courts. Any guidance you ca provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Conn\'s Home Plus has made over 60 robocalls to my cell number since 09/08/2023 even after I told them to stop calling me. I don\'t have an account with them. They are calling me about my son\'s account.
I have a lawsuit filed against me from Conn\'s and I never opened an account with them. The account in question shows my birth year incorrect and a signature that is just scribble. I\'m not being sued, I\'m an insurance agent and have a reputation to keep.
I purchased appliances for my new home November 2021. I was also sold a warranty with the appliances. The delivery crew came in and measured the spaces. Two appliances did not fit and I never received them off the delivery truck. They were returned to the store. I spoke with my salesman and he assured me via text that the manager would credit me but I would have to come in and cancel the warranty and resign contract. I went into the store to speak with manager and cancel the warranty but was told I would have to do this with the company. I submitted the documents online via fax and received email confirmation. I never received a new contract, credit for the items I did not receive or for the cancelled warranties. Conn\'s is suing me for the original balance. I have the emails, the text message from the salesman assuring that I would be credited. I was NEVER credited. Multiple phone calls and visits to the store has not resolved the situation. Now, Conn\'s is alleging I owe them over $9000.00 and the only item I kept was the $3500.00 refrigerator. Can I sue THEM for breach of contract and harassment?
conns sent my wife papers that said their suing her. the appliances broke and they charged us more than what they said at the store and changed the monthly payment\'s without informing us. we could never get ahold of any HR or customer service reps to make an actual complaint.

Being sued by conn for $7500
Good morning, I\'m being harassed by Conns appliance. I\'m receiving at least 10 calls per day, plus emails and text on the same day to pay my bill. I\'m in mental anguish and overwhelmed with the non stop harrasment from Conns. Please help.
