Hi Shannon. Medical bills can go on your credit report after they have been unpaid for a period of 180 days and can remain on your credit report for 7 years if they are not paid, but even when paid and they can even go to collections if you're paying them currently. Now, the good news is that they are given less weight in determining your credit score under the new credit scoring models (but not all creditors use the new model). They will also be removed from your credit report once paid in full. If you would like more assistance in your situation, give me a call. Thanks, Mike

I am getting those calls from medical of chattanooga. I thought medical bills could not be subject to collection agencies calling and that medical debt can be reported to credit bureaus. Is that still the case?
