Hello,I am being harassed by Torrid Credit Card,and robocalls from them. This is my first credit card,and only one.I was very surprised I got approved as I have very little income,which I know realize is a red flag.I splurged a little for my birthday,as I normally can't afford much unless on clearance,but the cap was $250,so never went above that. At the time,I did have a little more extra income and knew I could pay the $25 a month,but then I became homeless due to health issues.I even paid during one month of being homeless,as I didn't want the bill to collect late fees.But then I got a room and had to pay rent,and my friend and grandma helps me pay it,I couldn't afford it otherwise.And then what little I make reselling items goes towards essentials. I now have over $200 in late fees and constant harassment,which started at first month of skipped payment!I only had around $200 on my card at that time. They call every day,and I blocked as many numbers as I could from googling and seeing that they were Torrid.But they keep coming up with new ones,and after I told them I had blocked the robocall ones,they started calling from an unknown number! Plus coming up with more new numbers,I can't even keep up. I talked to them over and over,that I had been homeless,I have chronic health issues and can barely work,I have to have help for just survival and can't pay for probably months and that the phone calls aren't OK.Once a week to check in would be more than enough!I am in process of fighting for SSI and told them that as soon as I get it,I will pay it all off,but they need to stop calling. They sometimes call every 30 mins and at any hour. I have a lot of referrals to medical specialists and need my phone open for that,I often have no idea what number a clinic will be calling from. And with the robocalls,there is no answer when I pick up,or voice message if I don't answer,so I don't even see the point. Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated,this is really stressing me out on top of all that I'm dealing with. I did ask if I could close the account,but that will likely not make it stop and they said they would keep charging late fees.I had though letting it go to collections and then paying once I had SSI would work better,but I guess not.
