What is the difference between hip and pelvis?

If you or a loved one has fractured a bone from an accident, contact America’s Consumer Lawyer for a free consultation so we can help you recover from this experience and get fairly compensated.

The pelvis is the bone structure in the middle of the body which mainly supports the upper body and transfers body weight to the lower body. It is a strong ring of bones that acts as a large “connector” between the lower and upper body. One of the aspects of the pelvis is the pubis, which consists of the pair of bones on either side of the pelvis. The hip is a joint that connects the pelvis and femur. Rather than being a large bony structure in the lower body, the hip is essentially just a joint to connect two bones at the side of the body.
