The cost of towing will depend on which county you are in Illinois. In Chicago, you will have to pay $150 for towing a vehicle under 8,000 pounds and $250 for vehicles over 8,000 pounds. This, however, does not include daily storage fees in the impound which will cost you another $20 daily for the first five days and $35 daily after the fifth day for vehicles under 8,000 pounds. For vehicles over 8,000 pounds, the storage fee is $60 per day for the first five days and $100 daily after the fifth day.
