In July i decided to make a ONE time online payment to Sallie Mae via there webiste so that they would receive my Husbands student loan payment on time and to avoid a late charge on my account, i always pay my account on time in fact i have on record only one late payment in the last two years (since 2010). On the website it prompted if i wanted to go paperless and get statements via email, i clicked no, and again prompted me to make regular payments, i clicked box to indicate one time payment. We have been getting paper statements in the mail for 9 plus years, this is how i wanted it. Then i stopped recieving statements. I pay many bills on one income and we live month to month, if i don’t see a statement i don’t know i have to pay an account, plus the emails were going to my junk mail, had no idea i was getting them, on October 11th 2012 I spoke to one rep, ID#C49839 who called our home asking to pay the deliquent account, i was upset, told them; neither I, nor my husband authorized no statements in mail and i wanted my account fixed back to how it was, i them requested to speak to a manager to discuss how this happened and to confirm payment and that my account would change back to mailed statements, this manager ID#C40505 noted my account of payment and that an investigation would be made into the online blunder, however it seems he did not note in my account of the mail change, the other rep however did note my account, yet NOTHING CHANGED. I specifically asked the manager to tell me what i owed so i could pay and so i was up to date and this would not happen again. On October 21, 2012 i received another email statement saying i was deliquent on my account again. I did not check this email until 10/28/12 and it was in my junk mail ( luckily i checked junk to make sure they were no longer sending me statements) yet they still were. I still had not received my paper mailed statement. Called Sallie Mae again on 10-29-12 and Spoke to Rep Collins ID#C42076 who took my October 2012 payment, and she got permission from my husband to change account like he and I had done already on the 11th to get paper statements, My phone conversation with her was very rough and I was not nice at all, I requested to Speak to her Supervisor Maria ID#C36427 about all of this. I was fustrated that my account had not been updated as per my request on the 11th, that my account was late yet again due to there mistake, that this would reflect poorly on my credit and history of late payments. I expressed deep anger that in my customer notes in the system that I had Maria read to me, it showed the mistake made by said manager above and that the account did not mention my displeasure, fustration, anger etc..at all, that it was just “i made payments, on this day, we authorized this on that day”nothing more. I asked Marie to call me back that I wanted to know what was happening in regards to the investigation the first manager put forth but had not heard anything back from yet, that I wanted my account noted of my fustration and that they had made mistakes, that I wanted her to locate the phone conversation they had with Manager ID#C40505, and why the changes were not made then and if he would be held responsible, and wanted to know what they were going to do to make this better for me.. She said she would call me back this week. I am hoping Maria makes the extra effort. I am beyond upset because I am a great consumer, I go way beyond in making sure we always pay this account on time and have been doing thus for the last 9 and half years. If I can do what is expected of me and make payments on time I absolutely expect a compnay to do the same for me and they are not, they failure has cost me $440.00 plus dollars in added VIsa Credit Card Debt since I could not make these payments through my checking or savings account as we do not have the funds, and the funny part was after all that, they still charged me a phone fee of over $14.00 dollars for THEIR MISTAKE! Got to say was none to happy about that at all!
