Though, it was too late and the surgery was not able to help him as he died that afternoon. The family is seeking over $50,000 in damages.
- In July 2019, a man riding his motorcycle was struck and run over by a van driver, who then fled the scene. The motorcyclist died later that day at the hospital, and the van driver turned himself in to the police the following day. The van driver was unlicensed, and the estate of the deceased is suing him as well as the owners of the company of the van that he was driving.
