I was served today by bursey and associates. Last month they sent me a letter I sent for validation they said I had 30 days to say the debt was mine or not. They did not give me 30 days before filing paperwork with the court. My first letter came on February 3rd from bursey and associates saying I Owed there client midland funding 1093.13. The letter said at the bottom unless I notify the office within 30 days the office will assume the debt is valid. I sent them a letter saying i needed validation. On February 14 I received a reply back saying mind land funding got it from fineger hut. And they sent me a paper from mind land funding. I sent a email saying I did not think that was mine from the information I got. It seems they did not respond anything after that just looks like these court papers were done on the 28 of febuary. Do they have to allow you time before they file!

They keep sending me letters that I need to pay, I'm willing to make the payments but not the ridiculous amount when I explain to them I'm the only one working at home and I cannot pay the amount they are asking. I'm desperate and don't know what else I can do!

Bursey and associates took over $13000 out of my mother's accounts with Bank of America for a debt I supposedly owed to Midland Funding. I have never heard of either firm. We never received notice of intent to garnish, which occurred on October 25. My mother received correspondence via mail on November 13th that they had done so from Bursey's Phoenix office and I received notice from their Tucson office on November 14th. Don't they have to inform you prior to taking any money? They took every cent she had in those accounts. I am on her account in case of her becoming incapacitated my brother and I could pay her bills. My mother is 81 years old and my husband became disabled after a massive stroke last year. Both are on Social Security. Upon looking up both Bursey and Associates and Midland online and finding out they were not reasonable to deal with we found your firm. Thank you and have a nice day.

They harassed me for years when it came to Pima Medical Institute selling my debt to Bursey and Associates. I couldn't pay it due to personal medical issues but they did not care. They even went as far as giving me a garnishment from my checks. Now I'm trying to pay them as much as I can and it's putting a huge dent in my livelihood. Especially with covid going on, work is scarce. They also purposely discriminate against me. I'll fill you in on that more should we speak. I feel like I've over paid what I owe and I want them out of my life.
