Excessive collection phone calls. Invalid or irrelevant automates messages. Requests to call back to phone numbers that are disconnected and/or phone numbers that play a recording stating that their office is closed despite being during the business hours which are stated on said messages. Phone calls being made to phone numbers which I no longer have on file with SallieMae. A generalized conclusion is that I’m receiving an excessive amount of collection phone calls regarding a late payment. The calls are being made to myself, my co-signer, and phone numbers that I have previously removed from my account with SallieMae. Between 3 different phone numbers, I am receiving 6-8 automated collection calls per day and they are referencing dates which are missing from the recording and requesting paperwork be returned which was not sent to me. I am unable to respond to the calls because, they are all recordings and the number that is referenced to call back to only plays a recording saying their office is closed despite it being during the business hours which are stated on that recording. I have tried to respond using some of their other phone numbers but, after several calls, I have yet to get connected to anyone after an average wait of 30-40 minutes.
