I applied for a loan through Sallie Mae

I applied for a loan through Sallie Mae, and one of the emails they sent me indicated that I could talk to a loan specialist. I followed the link, which gave me the option of being called right now or scheduling a call. I selected call right now. 30 seconds later, my phone rang, and I followed the automated instructions pressing the numbers that corresponded with my situation and I was placed on hold and told I was the next call to be answered. I was on hold for almost 3 hours when I decided to use another phone to call the customer service line listed on my Sallie Mae account, and I was connected right away. It is extremely rude to expect someone to wait an excessive period of time for assistance that is unavailable.
