On October 12th, 2012, I was contacted by Sallie Mae Corp. At the time, my income was reduced and I was optimistic that it was temporary, I was able to continue to make monthly payments. I was told that they would extend the loan a few months, if I agreed to make 3 monthly payments, and adverse credit reporting would stop. I agreed to such terms. In last November 2012, I was contacted again by Sallie Mae that I was over 90 days late, but my agreed payment was processed in late October. I stated that I would not agree to anything over n the phone, that I wanted it in paper copy via email or mail. As of today, my account is 73 days late, but I have followed the October 12th agreement. I was told that a paper agreement was not possible after they contacted me today.
