Check written Jan 11, 2021 was not received by MasterCard until 2/18/21 and by then the new bill was sent and I was charged interest of $41.06 on the unpaid bill. After receiving the new bill in February, I put a stop payment on the check for the December bill and sent a new check for both December and January. Because this is Mastercard's problem being behind with their processing, there is no way I will pay a late interest fee to them. If this is not corrected, I will close my account and go elsewhere with my business. My second comment is that it is impossible to talk with a live person when trying to settle this issue.
