Our problem started when my son tried to work out his student loans with Sallie Mae. He told them he could not pay them $600 a month on what he makes. After several months of missed payments, Sallie Mae came to me and my wife. They settled an agreement with us that we will be required to help paying our son’s loans. We set up an automatic withdrawal from my wife’s account. But something have gone wrong with one of our payments with Sallie Mae and now they have been calling us. They called to say that my wife’s card will expire next month and they won’t be able to take out a payment. My wife called her bank and she found that is not the case. It isn’t true that her card will expire and that they can take out a payment anytime. I am so tired of these persistent calls from Sallie Mae when we have been diligent with our obligations to them. How they subject us to this harassment is beyond me.
