Couple of different problems with my service so far with Navient and the service (or lack thereof) on my educational loan(s). My loans were transferred this year (around August) from American Education Services to SallieMae. My loan APR was 1.625% at AES. When transferred to SallieMae, they increased my interest rate to over 5%. It took over 2 months to get this issue resolved and fixed on my account with SallieMae. Everytime I called, another representative would tell me that it should take 10-14 business days and it took well over 2 months – into October of 2012. Next problem occurred in December when I could no longer access my account online. The message online indicated I should call customer service so I did. After contacting customer service, they asked me if I recently filed for bankruptcy. I said no, and the customer service representative asked me if I was sure (as if I’d lie about this). After some more research, the representative realized that a bankrupcty note for another customer of SallieMae was loaded to my account. She explained that it would take ANOTHER 10-14 business days to fix. More shocking, there was an after-call survey for customers that call SallieMae. I asked to be forwarded to be able to fill that out after my call – and to no surprise – the representative either HUNG UP on me or I was coincidentally disconnected. I’ve had nothing be horrible service from the new provider of my loan and I have absolutely NO confidence in them handling my financials. PLEASE HELP.
