In 2013 claimed chapter 7 bankruptcy. Rosenberg and associates have harassing me about unpaid $ 22, 300 to US Bank. The debt was charged off and I have the bankruptcy paper work. I call Ed told them that. T hey want me to provide the paper work. It\'s phone number out of central Oregon. I called the US bankruptcy court in Portland and there has been no challenges. I think it\'s a scam. Don\'t know.

Rosenberg & Associates contacted me regarding a debt that was included in a chapter 7 bankruptcy. They insisted it wasn’t included. I pulled the creditor matrix from PACER and sure enough, the creditor they are claiming “wasn’t listed” was in-fact listed. They asked me to mail them the paperwork. I said absolutely not and told them that these are public records and they can pull the records themselves. I also told them to never contact me again regarding this matter. This was very stressful. Can we nail these buggers for contacting me? Out of principle alone I think we should teach them a lesson.

I have been contacted and harassed by Rosenberg and Associates, the phone number they use is a Los Angeles. They claim they were going to garnish my check and threatened if I didn’t pay $500 dollars asap, they would commenced with garnishment. They even contacted my mother. The bill was from a voluntary repo almost 20 years ago. I paid the $500 and set up arrangements. I know this was illegal and don’t know what to do to end it.

I received a call today 4/23/26 at approximately 10 AM CST from a Rosenberg and Associates. They claimed that I owed a debt. I\'m not sure of where they\'re claiming it\'s from because I disconnected the call. In the past I\'ve received calls from other so-called debt collectors claiming that I had an outstanding payday loan. I do not. All loans that I had were paid off even if they\'d been charged off I repaid. I researched and this firm is supposed to deal with real estate. I\'ve never owned any real estate. If any has been purchased in my name it\'s fraud and identity theft.

Good afternoon,
I am reaching out to request a consultation regarding what I believe may be serious violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and related consumer protection laws by a company identifying itself as Rosenberg & Associates Recovery Services based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
The matter involves an alleged payday loan account dating back to approximately 2014. I dispute both the validity and enforceability of the alleged debt. To the best of my knowledge, any such account was previously satisfied, and regardless, the alleged debt appears far beyond any normal collection period.
Despite repeated requests, the company has refused to provide competent validation demonstrating that the debt remains legally owed or collectible. Instead, their representatives have engaged in openly hostile, abusive, and harassing conduct.
Most concerning, representatives from this company contacted my employer and directly disclosed that they claimed I owed them money. This disclosure was entirely inappropriate, embarrassing, and professionally damaging.
Additionally, during phone calls with me, representatives screamed at me, belittled me, and repeatedly told me to “pay my bills” in an aggressive and degrading manner rather than professionally responding to my requests for validation.
They also repeatedly claimed they were attempting to serve me with legal documents. I explicitly told them where I was located and advised them to come serve me if legitimate legal action actually existed. No one ever appeared, and no service was ever attempted. This has raised additional concerns for me regarding whether the threats of legal action were being used merely as intimidation tactics.
Their conduct has included:
• Contacting and disclosing alleged debt information to my employer
• Repeated hostile and abusive phone calls
• Yelling, intimidation, and degrading statements during conversations
• Refusal to properly validate the alleged debt
• Continued collection efforts on a disputed account
• Threats regarding legal action and service that never materialized
• Continuing collection activity even after being informed the calls were being recorded
Importantly, I clearly informed their representatives that the conversations were being recorded, yet they continued engaging in this conduct regardless.
I have preserved recordings, call logs, screenshots, dates, and related documentation concerning these interactions.
At this point, I would like to understand:
Whether their conduct constitutes actionable FDCPA violations
Whether the disclosure to my employer creates additional liability exposure
Whether the alleged debt is likely time-barred from legal enforcement
Whether threats regarding service and litigation that never occurred create additional violations
Whether I may have grounds to pursue damages based on their conduct
Please let me know whether this is a matter your firm would be interested in reviewing and what additional information or documentation would be helpful.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

I get phone calls sometimes multiple times a day from this firm. They have called my family members, including my ex-wife and my brother-in-law. They make it sound like I’m going to be served and they are having trouble accessing my residence to serve me. The debt is long past the statute of limitations and I tried to work with the original company at the time that the debt went into default and they refused to work with me. I had lost my job and they caused my bank account to overdraft multiple times.
