I was wondering if you could give me some advice on a debt. I have no insurance and was 17 at the time I had to go to the emergency room. I fell pretty bad. I received many notices from the hospital. But at the time I didn't know what to do. With time they sent it to a debt collection agency. I was trying to pay monthly but I couldn't keep paying so I stopped. They kept calling and contacting me but I didn't answer!

I went to a Doctors Care...balance of $57 was left after insurance...Balance was supposed to be paid from my Medical Savings Account but my insurance company dropped the ball. I paid the balance myself in January of 2018...Amsol Systems continues to send me letters...the latest one today...saying that I owe them $79.54. I have chatted with Doctor's Care and they have confirmed that I do not owe this debt...What can I do about these people?

Amcol has a collection on my credit report for a medical bill that has already been paid. The original creditor was kinex medical supply. I spoke with Kimberly from kinex on 2/18/20 who confirmed that my balance was 0 and that on the notes on my account from my previous phone calls confirmed that I had spoke with the insurance company and the claim would be paid. I also spoke with Melanie from amcol on the same date and explained the situation in which she informed me that until they received payment from kinex they wouldn't remove the derogatory remark from my credit report and in return sent another derogatory remark on 2/19/20. I'm furious because the negligence of these two companies are affecting my credit
