Is Medco harassing you over a debt? Stop the harassment. Get Money. And you won’t pay us a dime for our services. Whether you owe the debt or not, you are protected under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Medco is a collection agency that has been in business since 2002. Medco is headquartered in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Medco is a full-service collection agency, which collects on accounts for health care providers.

According to its website, Medco “has earned the No. 1 ranking in the Healthcare: Pharmacy and Other Services category on Fortune magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for five consecutive years.” However, according to its track record, Medco’s collection activities shed a much different light when analyzed under the FDCPA. The FDCPA has been around for almost 35 years. The FDCPA is a federal law that applies to every state. In other words, everyone is protected by the FDCPA. The FDCPA is essentially a laundry list of what debt collectors can and cannot do while collecting a debt, as well as things debt collectors must do while collecting a debt.

According to the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), Medco has been sued over 50 times in the last 3 years for debt collection harassment. It does not get any better for Medco on the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau has processed 131 complaints regarding Medco in the last three years.

Medco has several telephone numbers it places debt collection calls from. Medco may be calling you from the following telephone numbers:

I'm looking for information on stopping debt collection calls from 800-242-6813 for a debt that I do not owe. I receive automated calls from the number on a weekly basis and I believe the debt they are attempting to collect is not valid. This debt is at least two years old and has been resolved with the medical provider!
