A semi-truck tipped over Monday and blocked traffic on Interstate 94 in Emmett Township for the second time in six days. The accident occurred at 12:36 pm at the entrance ramp from 11-Mile Road to 1-94 westbound. According to Lt. Tony Geigle, the trucker was apparently entering the freeway too fast because the semi-truck crossed the lane and tipped onto its side in the passing lane under the bridge.
An almost identical accident occurred on October 29 when another truck, entering on the same ramp, flipped and slid to a stop just 50 feet east of this accident. The driver was transported to Bronson Battle Creek with a minor head injury and ticketed for careless driving.
