A spinal cord injury (SCI) occurs when there is any damage to the spinal cord resulting in a loss of motor and/or sensory function of some part or parts of the body. - Incomplete SCI – An incomplete SCI indicates some loss of motor and/or sensory function. The ability of the spinal cord to send messages to and from the brain is not totally lost. This type of SCI has a much greater chance of recovery.
