Introduction 

Albany Park, on the Northwest side of Chicago with a population of 52,079 according to the U.S. Census, is one of the 77 well-defined communities in that area. Albany Park has a total area of 1.93 square miles. The traditional neighborhoods within the official community, including their rough boundaries, include:

    North: North Branch of the Chicago River (about 5100 N); South: Montrose Avenue (4400 N): East: North Branch of the River (about 3000 W); West: Pulaski Road (4000 W).

  • Mayfair
    Lawrence Avenue (4800 N), Montrose Avenue (4400 N), Pulaski Road (4000 W), and Cicero Avenue (4800 W).

  • North Mayfair
    Bryn Mawr Avenue (5600 N), Lawrence Avenue (4800 N), Pulaski Road (4000 W), and Cicero Avenue (4800 W).

Transportation

Albany Park’s borders include the major roadways of Foster Avenue to the north, Montrose Avenue to the south, Elston Avenue on the southwest, as well as the North Branch of the Chicago River on the east. 

The area is also easily accessible using Interstate 94 and with the multiple Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) bus routes, including #53 Pulaski, #78 Montrose, #80 Irving Park, #81 Lawrence, #82 Kimball/Homan, #92 Foster, and #93 California/Dodge.

Weather in Albany Park typically ranges between an average high of 26 ºF in January to an average high of 82 ºF in July.
