Introduction

Fuller Park is located on the South Side of Chicago and is designated as Community Area 37. The area, which is one of the smallest of Chicago’s communities, is named for a small park in the area which was named Melville Weston Fuller who was the Chief Justice of the United States between 1888 and 1910.

Transportation

Fuller Park has access to public transportation including the Metra Red Line, the Rock Island District Train, and Busses #24, #43, and #47.

Fuller Park also has access to Lyft/Uber rideshare services and taxi services. Unfortunately, this means that rideshare accidents, pedestrian accidents, motor vehicle accidents, bicycle accidents, and public transportation accidents can be common in the area.

Demographics

According to the most recent U.S. Census, Fuller Park has a population of 2,543, and is the neighborhood that has experienced the largest population decline over the past 60 years. The median household income for Fuller Park is $20,093.

Fuller Park lawyers at America’s Consumer Lawyer can assist residents with cases related to accidents, injuries, and health problems that may be related to these serious issues, as well as issues such as bicycle accidents, dog bites, premises accidents, car accidents, public transportation accidents, and pedestrian accidents.

Education

Fuller Park is home to one public elementary school, Hendricks Elementary.

When sending your child off to school you assume they will remain safe, however, this isn’t always the case. School bus accidents, gym and physical education accidents, lack of supervision, playground injuries, and school district negligence are just a few examples of the types of school injury cases America’s Consumer Lawyer has experience with.

Attractions

Fuller Park is working on its revitalization. Some of the attractions of the area include:

  • Eden Place Nature Center
  • Fuller Melville Park

While most of the time spent at these attractions will be uneventful, unfortunately, accidents can still occur, including premises accidents, slip and falls, bicycle accidents, bus accidents, car accidents, drinking and driving, dog bites, and playground accidents.
