Groveland Park is part of the Douglas community area and was originally developed by Stephen A. Douglas and is located between Cottage Grove Avenue, 33rd Street, 35th Street and the Metra Electric railroad tracks. The homes of Groveland Park are built around an oval shaped park.
Transportation
Groveland Park is accessible by the Chicago “L” Green and Red Lines, the ME and RI Trains, as well as Busses #35 and #4.
The area also has access to Lyft/Uber rideshare services and taxi services. Unfortunately, this means that rideshare accidents, pedestrian accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and public transportation accidents can be common in the area.
