The Illinois Medical District is the largest urban medical district in the United States and has more than 9,000 employees, 50,000 daily visitors and generates $3.4 billion in economic opportunity.
Transportation
The Illinois Medical District is serviced by Chicago public transportation including the Chicago “L” Blue Line and Orange Line, the BNSF Train, and Busses #12, #157 and #8, as well as Lyft/Uber rideshare services and taxi services. Unfortunately, this means that rideshare accidents, pedestrian accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and public transportation accidents can be common in the area.
