Introduction 

Lincoln Square, and its associated communities, is located on the North Side of the city of Chicago. Lincoln Square was named as such in 1925 by the Chicago City Council to honor Abraham Lincoln and a prominent statue of Lincoln was erected in 1956. 

Transportation

The Lincoln Square area is serviced by Bus 49 and Bus 81, as well as the Union Pacific North Train, and the Chicago “L” Brown Line. 

The area also has access to Divvy rideshare bicycles, as well as Lyft/Uber rideshare services and taxi services. Unfortunately, this means that rideshare accidents, pedestrian accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and public transportation accidents can be common in the area.

The Lincoln Square area has a population of 40,761 in its 2.57 square miles. According to the most recent U.S. Census, the median income for the area is $62,934. The area is mainly small and medium-sized businesses, private residences, and apartment buildings.
