Introduction

Rogers Park is located on the far north side of Chicago and is located nine miles north of the Cook County Courthouse. The area is located on what was once the convergence of two Native American trails and was the site where numerous tribes would settle from time to time and includes the area of Loyola.

Transportation

Rogers Park is served by several different modes of transportation. Rapid Transit is provided by the Chicago “L” Line, including the Purple, Red, and Yellow Lines. The area can also be accessed by the UP-N Train and Bus #22.

The area also has access to Divvy, Lyft/Uber rideshare services, and taxi services. Unfortunately, this means that rideshare accidents, pedestrian accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and public transportation accidents can be common in the area.

Demographics

Rogers Park has a population of 54,402 in its 1.85 square miles. According to the most recent U.S. Census, the median income for the area is $37,223.

Education

Rogers Park students are primarily serviced by the City of Chicago School District, as well as charter schools and private schools, which include:

  • Gale Elementary Community Academy
  • Eugene Field Elementary School
  • Joyce Kilmer Elementary School
  • George B. Swift Elementary Specialty School
  • George B. Armstrong School of International Studies

Rogers Park is also home to Loyola University Chicago/Lake Shore Campus and City Colleges of Chicago.

When sending your child off to school you assume they will remain safe, however, this isn’t always the case. School bus accidents, gym and physical education accidents, lack of supervision, daycare accidents, playground injuries, college accidents, and school district negligence are just a few examples of the types of school injury cases America’s Consumer Lawyer has experience with.
