Hello, I am wondering if you are able to help me. I have been attempting to work with ADT after letting them know I have been experiencing financial hardship. They have charged me a 2k contract cancel fee and sent my account to collections. I have asked them to allow me to keep my account active to avoid the fee but they are letting me know this is not possible and the only thing I can do now is pay over 2,000 dollars or wait until the account hits my credit report which only makes my situation worse. I will continue to reach out to them in hopes that someone picks up the line who will work with me but wondering if you can help.

I sent you all a note this past Saturday explaining my issues with ADT. Today at around 2:00 pm my system started beeping again. A Tech was here twice on Thursday. It was supposed to be fixed. \"NOT\"! I called the Corp office after the Tech had been here the second time and told them I wanted to cancel the contract. After much discussion the Rep agreed but it would take 30 days Nov. 25. Plus they want to charge be a cancellation fee of $373.32. On Oct 23 I paid the bill due Nov. 2, I have read the report on your site and apparently I am not the only customer who is fed up. Today after the system started beeping again, I disconnected the system myself! It is NO longer working. Period! I was not going to call ADT again and be put on hold for a long period of time, plus they would not have sent a tech out today and maybe not tomorrow, Who knows when? I want to know if you can please tell me what my legal rights are. If you would like to call me I can explain the issue further. It will take less time to tell you than type it all out here.
