I have received numerous calls from Alliance Collection Agency from the 715 area code. On 02.22.2024 I called them at 9:42am and requested they send me a letter to explain the debt. They have not done so but continue to call.

Hi Keith. You can request a debt verification letter from Alliance Collections to see if the debt they are claiming that you owe is legitimate. You can do this with a certified letter with a receipt request to ensure that they got the letter from you. If you need help with this, you can contact me at my office and we can have a free, no-obligation consultation. Thanks, Mike

I was called from number 715-515-2025 and instructed to call 800-215-8756. I do not trust this call left at all. Can you confirm or look into this for me? I need more information what the debt is about, if this is legit or not. Thank you.

Hi Ashley. Typically when a debt collector tries to collect on medical bills that a minor incurred on their parents insurance they are on shaky ground. This is because a minor is not legally able to enter into a valid contract and the responsibility of the bills would fall back onto the parents. The FDCPA also protects you by prohibiting debt collection on debts that are not authorized by the law. There is one legal theory that some debt collectors try to use and that is called "quantum meruit". However, trying to use this theory on a minor is a large leap and isn't successful many times. I can commend you on wanting to get your finances in order and I would be happy to speak with you about them and see if we can help you to get these issues resolved. I will give you a call or you can reach me at 888 572 0176. Thanks, Mike

I have many medical bills in collections from over the years. Before I turned 18, I was on my parents health insurance plan. My parents did not have many options for health insurance, and ultimately my mother got us health insurance through her work with a deductible of $7,000. During my time on my parents health insurance, I had some hospital stays and other regularly scheduled doctor visits. My parents did not pay all the bills that accumulated and never passed them on to me. So, now I am 25 with a bachelor degree and have excellent health insurance through my work. However, I have an incredible about of medical bills in collections. I am constantly getting calls from debt collectors. Sometimes they will leave a voicemail that is automated and they never state what agency they are calling from. I am now trying to get my debt in order, including my student loans, and the medical bills in collections have been a serious struggle to try and get straightened out. Some of these medical bills are from when I was in high school. Trying to track everything down and make sure the bills and charges are all accurate is nearly impossible. I am looking for guidance and options. Thank you.

Got message on answering machine at home that if I was Anna to call back at 8002158756 and if not erase message. Tried the incoming number which didn't work tried the 800 # and got a person who verified that they had indeed tried to contact me but would not give me any information about the collections if I would not give them my last name. To my knowledge I don't have anything that should be in collections as I pay my bills.
