Called me at work to say the program I am enrolled in us being sued by NYS and they are no longer allowed to work with them ("Look it up on Google, it's all right there.". Wants me to call back...promised me a settlement of at least 25% less than what my program is. The woman who contacted me stated her name is Lisa Farrell, direct # 716-256-1710.

Hi Amy, have you received anything in writing frtom Eastpoint Recovery Group? I always tell my clients to get something in writing first before yoy pay a debt. That way, you can confirm the original creditor, how much money you supposedly owe, whether or not the debt is within the statute of limitations, and even if paying the debt will also remove it from your credit report. I can discuss all of these things further with you on the from. You have rights under the law called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Whether you owe the debt or not, I can help make this stressful situation better for you. Stay well and we'll talk soon. Thanks, Mike.
