Called via 440-735-5100. Claimed I owed Xfinity Internet service approximately $31 and that a collection claim had been filed against me on 5/13/25. Asked for personal information including email address and current residence address. Claimed a letter had been sent to the old address. Claimed that a letter could not be sent to the new address.
They called on an worker\'s comp audit.that business has closed I asked if they could send another bill they said I refunded to pay I said no I didn\'t I want another bill well no so I hung up
A couple of months ago someone reached out to me regarding doing wholesale with my business. They wanted to purchase a large bulk of items (worth over $2000) to open up a store, according to them. They went ahead and sent the payment through Intuit Quickbooks. After the payment was processed the customer then decided to file a dispute and lie saying this charge was unauthorized. They then processed to remove the money from my account without authorization. Now, a lawyer calling from that same number has reached out to me saying that I owe a debt of $2,600. I asked them why if the customer already received the money back and it’s no longer in their account. They proceeded to say “Yes, the customer already received the money back, but now you owe the company.” Now I have to pay off over 2.6k when I don’t have it, especially due to the fact that I am in college. If there is a way you guys can help me and my family out of this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Paul. This sounds like you're dealing with a lot of empty promises and inept customer service, which has unfortunately, affected you by hitting you in the pocketbook. Let's talk more about this issue and see if we can get a fair and quick solution for you. Give me a call at 888 572 0176. I look forward to speaking with you. Thanks, Mike
Angie’s Lead Salesman Adam called me on/or about Feb 18, 2022. Said I would have to pay $100.00 to get started and then I would have to pay a percentage of the invoice on the leads I accept. He asked me the mileage that I was willing to travel and I told him 50 miles.
He also sent me a text message stating I would have to accept so my account would be activated.
I started receiving numerous leads each day via e-mail from both Angie’s Leads and HomeAdvisor. The leads that were provided was for Jonesboro, AR which is 82 miles from where I live, so I never accepted any of the leads provided.
My business account was charge:
$100.00 on Feb 22, 2022.
$39.84 on Mar 14, 2022.
$82.37 on Mar 21, 2022.
On March 28, 2022, I called about the charges and was transferred to a supervisor named Mark. I explained the situation that Adam had told me that I would only be charge a percentage of the invoices that I accepted. Mark cancelled my account and said he would refund my money.
On May 6, 2022, I received an e-mail from HomeAdvisor stating that I was being turned over to collection. Then I started receiving calls from 440-735-5100 McCarthy Burgess & Wolff, Timmy Shearling stating he had a collection for me about HomeAdvisor.
On May 12, 2022, I called Angie’s Leads and spoke to a gentleman who transferred me over to a supervisor named Breana, who told me that I was turned over to collection for the money I owed for the 28 leads in which I had never accepted any of them due to the distance away from my business. She said that I had signed a contract which stated I would have to pay for each lead and I told her that I had not signed a contract. Come to find out, the link that Adam had sent me to activate my account was supposedly the contract, but Adam did not state it was a contract, he only stated that I had to click the link to activate my account. Breana continued to state that I owed the fee’s so I asked to talk with a manager. She said she was a manager so I said I wanted to take to her boss, she replied that they would have to call me back.
After experiencing this from Angie’s Lead, I have come to terms that this is a scam and should be immediately stopped.

Hi Sandra. It is likely that McCarthy, Burgess, and Wolfe are calling about a debt you may owe. Are you aware of any debts that they could be calling you about? If you're unsure, you can find out by requesting a debt verification from them. If you need help with this, you can contact my office and we can have a free, no-obligation consultation. 888 572 0176 Thanks, Mike

I've been harassed by InCorp Services for the past few years for past due invoices + late charges on alleged services rendered. I've yet to see any services provided since I first registered for their services, and as of recently I've been contacted by Mccarthy Burgess Wolfe on behalf of InCorp claiming that I owe several hundred dollars before they will allow me to close my account (which I requested to cancel last Dec). I need to know if I am liable for this balance owed or can I fight this?
Hi, regarding to CGI debt.
CGI is parent company that l bought insurance for
I used to pay the whole year, it was affected from 7/1/2019 to 7/1/2020
During last year I ask the agent Marthiew Randal to change my insurance to cheaper company. He denied it couple time, therefore I have to be insured by other company, and I let the CIG automaticly collapse after 7/1/2019 and told Mathew that I dont need GIG insurance cover.
I can not make payment for both new insurance comp and the CIG.
