Hello my name is Mark Geddis on October 24, 2022 I received a call at 7:30 PM central time from this collection Bureau Midwest service. They called and asked for my wife’s name who is Kim I told them that I would give her her number since I did not know what this medical bill was about they did state the whole Collection veritas verification information that they need to provide. I told the agent who her name is Adrian and that my mom recently passed on the 30th and I just buried her on the 20th of this month she said sorry for your loss but that has nothing to do with your wife’s bill that you’re responsible so I need payment right now I told him ma’am can you please contact my wife and not contact me because I am right now I can’t I couldn’t take care of anything my mom my heart is hurt I’m also disabled I’ve had five back surgeries I should continue to be write me call me names and tell me regardless that you’re disabled you’re still responsible for this bill I told her I’m not saying that my wife I’m not responsible which we don’t know because I haven’t seen any thing in the mail from this doctor bill they were talking about . In addition Lisa stated that that sent notices to her home and the doctor bill the doctors and bills are home which I have not seen any bills or anything from the collection agency the when I told Adrian that please call my wife not this number she said fine that’s just what I wanted to hear that means you’re not gonna pay this. Again I talk with her supervisor and I did not get this gentleman’s name I let him know what was going on and make a talk with my wife and I said please I’m hurting my mother pass and I wasn’t able mentally at the time to really do it do this or even call them back another day or have my wife just call my wife he stated that your mom‘s death has nothing to do with this bill so you need to focus on this I just think this is very rude in addition to not having any proof of this medical bill or them sending us anything

Just a heads up, I do not tend to answer numbers I do not know. If you text me or email me first to let me know, I will or I will call back. Long story short, me and my partner and daughter got covid in Jan of this year and then he was laid off, and he is the head of household. I work but make maybe half what he does. Things were tight prior because of the pandemic but since January, I can't pay what I normally pay and it's got me messed up. I yet calls from debt collectors and I'm not sure what to do at this point and it is very overwhelming. I want to start getting everything straightened out so I'm not continuously worrying about it. I also had some kind of health issue over the last year and they are trying to figure it out and they are not in my insurance network so am out of pocket on all that until I find a plan that includes the for the upcoming year.
