I received student loans to attend cosmetology School in 2012. Due to a permanent disability in my back unable to make this my career. I have asked for paperwork to apply for student loan forgiveness considering I am unable to pursue the cosmetology career. I have not received the paperwork and continue to get phone calls from this phone number daily sometimes more than once a day I don't pick them up anymore. The first thing they ask is for my social security number why don't they have that information since they're calling me? how do I get these calls to stop and how do I get this paperwork so I can apply for the forgiveness of the loan?

I get calls all the time from Nelnet. I know I owe but, I do not understand why ask for social security number if it is on file.

I keep getting calls from random numbers and just switched my phone number. The number calling me is 8448019992. I googled it and its a debt collector for student loans. I have never used student loans. I just want these calls to stop!

Since April of 2018, I have repeatedly asked, via certified mail, for Nelnet to provide me with my original instrument of indebtedness with my signature. I have also requested that they show the chain of custody of the loan since it originated in 1994. None of the requested paperwork has been produced, and the documents they have sent are "robo-signs" with computer generated signatures. The paperwork is incomplete in showing the total compilation of the interest as I graduated from college in 2001, but they cite dates from 2014. They are claiming I owe $75K but the numbers are not making sense and I am unable to trace the life of the loan as the chain of custody is incomplete and during the Collateralized Debt Obligation crisis was going on in and around 2008, the loan changed ownership 4 times. I don't understand why I cannot get this simple information!

They call my cell phone asking for people I dont know. Then they call saying they can lower my credit cards rates and I dont even own credit cards about student loans and I dont have student loans because when I was approved for disability they were taken care of. I get all kind of calls and they call my house as well.

I do get calls from Nelnet and I do have a loan with them, I do pay after the payment date, but I am not late. Do they still have every right to continue calling? Thank you

They claim I have a student loan, I have never had one. I talked with my son who went to ONU and he informed me that there was no student loans with that name. I signed nothing.

This number keeps calling and when I ask them to remove from their calling list they ask me for my social security I laugh and say yeah right you called me and now you want me to give you my social security number for what? To be removed from your calling list? They say yes mam, social security number please. So I give them my telephone number. The hang up after a few times of me giving them my telephone number. I keep getting calls from 8448019992. I looked up the number and found that it is a student loan debt collection company. I have never had student loans.
