I was in a car accident with no injuries. The other driver claimed full responsibility for the accident. After dealing with insurance and a subpar car shop, I was informed that a subrogation process would be initiated, and I would have to wait until it was completed before receiving a payout for my totaled vehicle. I was then sent an email informing me that my claim had been transferred to a company called Paragon. That company sent a file of photos that claimed I was at fault and owed over $13,000. Figuring it was a scam of some sort, I ignored the letters and called the numbers provided to me, where I was told the same information. I couldn\'t find any information on this company other than that it is a collections company. I have the emails from Esurance stating that I am owed money for this accident, which I am not at fault for. When I google Paragon, your company comes up.

PARAGON SUBROGATION
I was backing out of a park I g space in April 2023 when I taped a car. The vehicle was not backing out but passing by or stopped. The driver of the other vehicle and her passenger even commented how the vehicle I was driving didn’t have a scratch (how fast could I have been going). I gave my DL and insurance info she gave me her DL but refused insurance, I called my carrier immediately after parties g ways with the other party.
Then I received a letter from Paragon, I called my insurance who told me not to talk to Paragon and that they would take care of it. The claim was settled. A letter dated August 14 and mailed in August 18 from Paragon arrives in my mailbox but I am very ill and don’t notice it right away. I am hospitalized from Aug 22-24 and again from Aug 28-Sept 1. On the way to the second hospitalization, Paragon calls. Ten representative claims I’ve never provided my insurance info and like an idiot, I provided it again. I told the representative I have insurance and to take it up with them. He speaks to me in an interrogatory tone, telling me he’s obtained my mobile phone number skip tracing. After I was discharged the second time, I opened the letter. Same as the last letter stating I owe $3600 for the other vehicle when the car I was driving had no damage. I don’t see Paragon going away, I don’t see a DFPI or a City of LA business license for them however, they are in good standing with the SOS.
How do I get them to go away? Report them to the Department of Insurance (I saw somewhere they claim to be an insurance agency even so they are acting on behalf of an insurance company). Any suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated.
