I am being harassed at work by Evan Mette from Richard T Avis regarding an invoice that does not belong to my company to pay. They won’t listen and keep sending emails. What’s the deal with these people. Are they legit? I tried looking them up on the web and their website does not even work. Thanks Julie Ryan

Richard keeps calling and will not quit calling. I have asked him to stop calling and he said \"It doesn\'t work that way\" i asked him to send me proof of the debt and he refused citing he could not because I am in Minnesota. The phone number he is calling me from appears to be a masked or spoofed number from Minnesota. It is 612-512-1121. the voice messages he leaves are all identical leading me to believe he is using a robot dialer. My phone is also set to direct suspected robo calls directly to voicemail. His numbers get caught by that. I asked him where to send a letter from an attorney to stop contact by phone and he hung up on me.

I am being asked by a Richard Avis attorney to pay 13,000, I’ve asked for it shown to me and proof that I owe them that amount.

I have received multiple detailed voicemails from this company. I owe a bill from my business that was closed.

On 5/22/2023 I was contacted by Edward Zimel with Richard T Avis, Attorney & Associates, LLC from an American Financial Management phone number. Mr Zimel identified the debt as being owned to FP Mailing Solutions. I requested written documentation be sent to me at my home address which Mr. Zimel refused. I proceeded to inform Mr. Zimel he was no longer allowed to contact me by phone and could send all communication via US Mail. I received an email from Mr. Zimel shortly thereafter where I replied informing him all communication was to be done in writing, either via US Mail or Email. He acknowledged unprofessionally stating \"if you pick up your phone and give me payment info you will not be inconvenienced.\" In other words, he acknowledged the written communication I sent to him stating he was no longer allowed to contact me via phone. I also sent the same letter through US Mail on 5/22/2023. On 5/26/2023 I received another phone call from Mr. Zimel even though I had demanded no more calls be made and received acknowledgment several days prior. When I asked him why he was calling me after being told not to and acknowledging my request, he backpedaled and stated he never replied to my email and \"I am an Ed but I wasn\'t the Ed who sent you that email response.\" Mr. Zimel proceeded to threaten me, attempted to intimidate me, and told me I would be committing a felony if I did not pay for this debt. After much back and forth, Mr. Zimel hung up on me. I proceeded to email him requesting, yet again, that all communication be via written means. I once again asked for written documentation of this \"debt.\" I told him if he could provide me with written documentation I would come to an amicable resolution with him and stated I had never heard of his company, received correspondence from his company, and I would not send money to someone I have never heard of or done business with. I went so far as to contact FP Mailing Solutions, which he stated I owed money to, to set up a resolution directly with them. When I informed him I reached out to FP Mailing Solutions to come up with a resolution, he sent me another intimidating email stating I was refusing to pay the debt and the matter would be escalated. I reiterated I was handling the situation directly with FP Mailing Solutions since he could not send me written documentation outlining what he said I owed. I have not received any written documentation regarding this debt, I continue to receive phone calls at home and at work after demanding he stop calling, and the intimidation and scare tactics Mr. Zimel uses will not work on me.

They have threatened me multiple times stating they know my location, I’m not covered under the FCPA, they have threatened to sue me, and so much more.
